@MisterJohnsonOKC @supreme35 @ILikePancakes It depends which team dominates the pace of game. IF LA keeps it a half-court game their size would actually make a big difference against a team like Miami. IF Miami got out in transition LAL couldn't keep up.
@f5alcon The way the off-season is going so far... some other team would probably outbid them for Lazar
@Jax Raging Bile Duct @supreme35 There is still tons of time left... technically most teams haven't even signed most of these players yet.
Kidd didn't exactly put up HUGE numbers for them. Getting a starting PG like Felton would probably not see a huge drop in their production. There are multiple combo guards to replace Terry. So really their drop probably won't be THAT big. However, they might suck for a year if they want to take their chances with their cap space next year. Which in a slightly different way is what the Spurs did the year they got Duncan.
@ElMexiThunder @Keith00 @justin_mia AND if he's not super great he can always be traded to another team at the deadline to clear up space for a veteran that could be waived...
@JimboSlice @ou_sas Don't forget about the Morris Twins... you could almost have the entire KU NCAA Champ team
@JimboSlice @ou_sas Kirk Hinrich hasn't signed...
I could have said Taylor Griffen... at least Tinsley has had an NBA career.
@ou_sas @C_Mack84 It might be the first time the NBA ever gets an age-ism class action filed by a player under 30.
@Jax Raging Bile Duct @K-Dagger Daniel Plainview What about Jamal Tinsley??
@ou_sas @C_Mack84 Thabo, Collison, Perk all need to be traded simply so the Thunder can have the first Under 25 team ever
@K-Dagger Daniel Plainview @Shake Down the Thunder The Heat's big 3 are at prime age... they only have a few young players and don't have lots of draft picks so they do rely on a lot of veterans to succeed. They're also more money capped at this point than what the Thunder are (The big 3 keep costing more and more money every year).
@ThunderBelize Personally, I'm not a big fan of what people HAVE done as much as what they are expected TO do. While he's a 2nd overall pick doesn't really make as much difference other than he's still pretty young. The thing going forward is the whole less than 100 mins, still has potential, is only being called on to do a small role WHILE being paid a very small amount of money in terms of NBA contracts.
@SB718 Actually a lot of people say Dwight is hard to coach. Just ask anyone who has ever worked on trying to fix his FT's. It's not that he isn't willing to listen. It's more he goes back to his old technique much quicker than most people would prefer.
@justin_mia That's the big problem is that most of the assistants that are good at this sort of thing are already tied to established coaches.
@SB718 It means that Dwight has issues with a lot of coaches. There is a reason he has had almost as many coaches working with him on FT's as he has years played in the league. Sometimes he moves on from coaches because he doesn't see instant improvement even though a lot of mechanical changes take time to build up.
@Keith00 @courtsense Compared to where it was though... Dwight actually has a somewhat improved post game. Part of Dwight's offensive problem is Dwight himself and another part is the team he plays on. However, there have been some improvements on the variations of moves he uses (he has a mini hook, a quick spin, an of course the push off alley oop)
@justin_mia @Keith00 @courtsense I was just looking at possible people and knew Ewing was actually a coach and the Orlando was going through a front-office and coaching change and thought he might be available.
Who are some other players out there? Or Big man coaches? What colleges have some quality big men... they usually have a good coach somewhere. Or maybe find a high school like Oak Hill Academy... Somewhere there is a big man coach.
