 @Bill_Bates_40 Does it really matter if they're around all that long? When a guy gets a huge 2nd contract, he isn't necessarily even much of an asset to a team. Especially the RB. Would Tennessee be better off spending $15 million a year for the next 6 years on good FAs or giving all that money to CJ?

 

I actually think the smart move for teams with elite RBs is to let them walk in FA. It's just not worth paying these guys $15+ million a year. However, if you can get 5 years out of Richardson for a little over $5 million per year, that is great value.
