In my opinion this is just a ploy to say they tried and will head back to Los Angeles. Sakes alive they don't want much do they? I went to St. Louis last summer and the Dome is a fine stadium. The fans really take care of their teams and support them. The gold digging has to stop sometime and the NFL offices need to step in and put a halt to this insanity. I'm not a Rams fan but this holding cities hostage has gone on long enough.

The more I think about it the more I believe the Kid's Dad didn't want him to attend OSU in the first place. Alex probably committed before talking to Dad and looked for any excuse to leave. If Pops had an issue with OSU he didn't need to drag the School through the mud. Otto is right about something. I bet he doesn't go to Notre Dame because too many Priests are running around wondering if Alex wants to be a alter boy. Grow up Dad. The world is full of crazies and Nuts. Cut the apron strings and let him go. I bet OSU could file a law suit against dear old Dad for attempting to destroy OSU's good name too.

What did his Father think OSU would do? They certainly cannot do Criminal checks on everyone who could possibly come near his son. Waugh could have met him when they went to dinner and found out he was a recruit.  Could have just been a chance meeting. I'd bet he would meet a offender at every school he visits. Heck another school could even set it up. Daddy you need to get a grip.

What I love is all the pro Steeler writers such as yourself. You say nothing but good things about the Steelers. For instance Sean Spence seems to be all world and a steal. Did you mentioned The LB Johnson, who was rated above Spence at all in your column?  And Rainey is really overated but since the Steelers took him he is the most dangerous back in the NFL. Not one so called writer will say anything bad about the poor Steelers and the Ravens could be as bad too. The Bengals did have a good draft I do admit. Stop looking down your nose at the Browns. They are moving in the right direction. You might want to give them some credit or is it just not cool to say anything about Cleveland.
