@Paul Hue It is a fact that most people can think without generalizing. When you perform a mathematical function you are not generalizing. 4+4 is not 8 in general it is a fact that 4+4 = 8 If you see a person wearing red shoes and that person has been convicted of a crime then he is in fact a criminal. If you see two people with red shoes on and both have been convicted of a crime then it is a fact that both are criminals. Nothing general about it. To see another person wearing red shoes and determine that they too are a criminal because they are wearing red shoes is a generalization that all people who wear red shoes are criminals.
There is no good use for stereotyping. Stereotyping is extremely inaccurate and only a dummy would rely on it as a tool. That's my opinion which is different from a generalization because I didn't say all dummies use stereotyping.
@voiceofinsanity @rileyjives @Rickart Because they were taught to. Generation after generation after generation. Their ancestors paid a very high price making this country what it is and all many of them do is whine about it.
@slickness The africans sold each other out and the descendants of the people that were slaves are actually better off now than the people that were left there. Irony huh? Everyone is profiting from the work that was into this country and those countries. Everyone.
Sadly I can't say that my ancestors never owned slaves and I can also say that I haven't benefited from my ancestors owning slaves any more than anyone else in the country did. Thanks to the hard working people that were enslaved against their will this country grew much faster than it would have other wise and it generated more income nation wide than it would have otherwise. It was a terrible thing to do to those people but it is a fact that it happened and it is a fact that it is one of the major factors of why this country is what it is today.
Take that any way you want to take it.
@rileyjives @Rickart There never was a transformation to race slavery as you call it. They didn't care what color they were then, they paid a set amount of money for an object that they then owned. They would have used anyone of any color that anyone was selling. Just as they do now when then get the chance.
@Paul Hue @Rickart @rightontarget Until it's over used, abused and the fact that it is generalization is forgotten.
@rileyjives @Rickart Excuse me, yes they did. The tribes fought amongst themselves and captured and sold other tribe members to the Europeans. Had they united there probably wouldn't have been any Africans in slavery. Africans were the first to profit.
@Paul Hue @ericjungleboy Right. George can't follow simple directions, carries a loaded gun around and calls 911 every time a bull dog farts. It's was only a matter of time before he got so frustrated at his ineffectiveness that he hurt someone.
@Paul Hue @quillatoocuteforyhuhayes @patti is ticked "quill: White people don't really care if you call them names. Only black people are so mentally small that they fall to pieces over names. Time for black folks to grow up."
It sure pisses patti off.
@patti is ticked @ericjungleboy @mattstate @Paul Hue "Fuck you, jungleboy. Don't ever tell me what to do." That was intelligent patti.
@ericjungleboy @patti is ticked @mattstate @Paul Hue No they aren't.
@mattstate @ericjungleboy @Paul Hue Bullshit.
@ericjungleboy George was definitely looking for something. He wanted to be a hero and look where it got him.
@Paul Hue @ericjungleboy George is a doomas, a wanna be that let it go to his head and got himself in trouble. If it hadn't of been with Trayvon it would have been with someone else...maybe one of your kids if they walked up behind him popping bubbles in their gum.
@ericjungleboy @Paul Hue @Dedicated_Dad He can't, he's skeered he'll get hurt out there in with all them there black people.
@Paul Hue @Rickart @rightontarget Wow Paul...generalize much?
@Cake or Death Wow, I'm really surprised that this came from you. You seemed to be one of the more mature and thoughtful posters here. :(
@SayItLikeItIs Thanks for your help. :) Or at least for trying
@skeptykal_uv_everthang Where did you read that I thought he was a fat ass that weighed 2000 pounds? At the most it was 350 if TM weighed 175. You do the math. Facts don't really seem to matter to most people here...speculation and fabrication are the words of the day. I'll call you Richard from now on.
