@bobstanhope Your comment is interesting for a few reasons. First, I'm pretty sure Linfield is an accredited university (though it still abides by the "college" moniker). Second, how is this professor's service bad (your words: "almost as bad as one black guy in Hollywood production)? I served as an infantryman during two tours to Afghanistan, and I salute the good professor on his service. Remember, only a tiny fraction of our society choose to serve. As servicemen and women, it does us no good to disparage other folks' service. Furthermore, he raises a very real issue - the chasm between American society and its military. A chasm that seems to benefit the short term interest of society and the egos of the military. Lastly, I'd like to point out that you offer no real critique of this post; you only offered ad hominem.
