@DaviDeil I agree, like stated above, I'm fine with the description of the game, its just that he compared it to DF, without comparing it to DF... I know that there's a whole hero system and that is what the devs are focusing on to make it something more than just df with graphics... but that means the article itself should go into that concept, or leave the comparison out.
@OHNOITSKEN well i'm glad you understand what i'm talking about. I don't want to seem harsh or anything, but mentioning df throughout the article and not knowing much about df is a big mistake, because honestly DF is much more complex then most people believe...I do wholeheartedly agree with your belief that its more approachable than DF, and as for DF itself I can't begin to imagine why cleaning up the UI and Graphics aren't a top priority of his... Bogged down in complexity is how I would describe DF, and Towns is exactly how I would picture it if it fixed those issues.
@OHNOITSKEN @gspiridonov Yes. except that they state that calling it an isometric Dwarf Fortress isn't right... which I'm having trouble seeing... It IS an isometric DF... if describing it as DF doesn't quite fit, then that's because DF has a lot more features, complete worlds, a fully dynamic trade system, and a historical log... not exactly something that would make Towns appealing. the author brought up the comparison, but didn't mention any reasons why Towns is better, or even different than DF.
so it is dwarf fortress.. not saying that that's a bad thing (we all know dwarf fortress NEEDS a better gui.. but it's like you just described DF, and left out a bunch of things.
