 @LeonardWebber  @stringed And the F-16 will likely be around another 30 years or more. Look at the B-52. The age of rapid aircraft development and obsolesence is long over. Airframes will be in use for multiple decades. The Navy will still be flying Super Hornets 25 years from now. New-build F-16's will probably outlast your lifetime. And as projects like the F-35 prove to be expensive blunders, more emphasis will be on upgrading and building teen series jets. The viper is here to stay.
