Haul: Nails Inc. polishes in Pudding Lane, Sugar House Lane, and Sweets Away. Tokidoki balm in Ciao Ciao. Jack Black hand cream x2 because it's that awesome! NYX eye pencil in brown. And more Neutrogena make-up wipes.
Weekend Plans: The usual, gardening and some Downtown Disney. I can't help it, beignets are my weekend treat!
Accessory: Hmm, I'm always lazy to put a necklace or earrings on. Besides my wedding rings, I'll have to say purses!
Haul: Zoya polishes in Wednesday, Meg, and Zuza. Urban Decay eye shadow in Mushroom.
Hope to pick up Snatch today since last week at Ulta they ran out. A male worker said he'd look for more and I got to hear another worker tell me, "He's going to try to find your Snatch!" My sister and I bust out laughing. Yes, we have dirty lil' minds!
Plans: Besides more gardening, probably go to Downtown Disney with the hubs early Sunday morning so we can shop in peace!
Cartoon: Oh, crap. Let's just say I watched A LOT and I loved them all. ;)
Haul: Color Club polishes in Chelsea Girl, Feelin' Groovy, Jackie Oh!, and Mrs. Robinson. First Aid Beauty face cleanser. Tokidoki Love From London pencil bag, lip balms in Donutella and Pink Martini, Las Vegas palette, polishes in Ciao Ciao and Stellina, nail art stickers in Adios Ciao Ciao and Cactus Friends. MAC Volcanic Ash exfoliator x2, Venus lipstick, Star Wonder MSF, Woodwinked eyeshadow, and a Zoom Lash sample in Zoomblack that my hubby loves and made me promise I'd buy a full tube next time I go to the mall. >_<
Weekend Plans: Maybe the OC Fair, but most likely just chillax with the hubby.
Pets: No. No. No. Nonononononono. I already feed and clean up after something smelly.
Haul: Philosophy Take a Deep Breath and Living Proof No Frizz shampoo.
Plans: So far, nothing. Was suppose to have a girl's day out on Saturday with my sis and mom. We were going to shop, eat, and see Magic Mike, my treat, but my sis bailed on me for her flaky friend. I predict she's going to flake again, my sis will call, but I'm going to make sure I'm nowhere home. :P
Video games: I remember when all us cool kids hung out at the local arcade. You know, when we actually trashed talked other players to their face, and not hide behind our comps. Yeah, I seriously aged myself. ;) I grew up in arcades and with consoles, but I play more on my laptop now. WoW and Diablo. I'm waiting for Ahune to pop on my mage as I type.
@Kafka My hubby knows NOT to touch my tadig! I'd lay off on homemade Persian if he did. ;) Yup, I make Fesenjoon. I was hesitant on it at first, thought I'd mess it up by burning the walnuts or something, but my first time came out awesome. Maybe the next time the hubby begs for something, I'll try the Sadaf bottles. Happy husband means more makeup hauls for me! :D
Haul: MAC eyeshadow in Woodwinked and Blackheart nail polishes in Party Action and Jealous Type.
Plans: Gardening, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter with my hubby, and hang out with family.
Cooking: There's definitely more than one item! Breakfast fare, Beer Brats and German Potatoes, Persian, Mexican, etc. I just can't choose one item when there's so much yumminess I can concoct in my kitchen!
If you ask my husband, though, he'd say Ghormeh Sabzi. He begs me to make some every month, then eats the whole double pot in two days, and complains it's all gone. Men.
1. Quite a haul since my birthday passed! Kat Von D Mini True Romance Eyeshadow Palette in Little Sinner, Nails Inc. polish in Burlington Arcade, $$$, gold turtle necklace, Goonies on Blu-Ray, and a Kindle.
I bought myself some gifts as well. Butter London polishes in Lillibet's Jubilee, Slapper, Snog, and Lady Muck, Tokidoki polishes in Donutella, Latte, SANDy, and Savana, a new pair of Converse and a couple of super cute slip-ons.
2. My favorite aunt and cousins are coming down to see the new house tomorrow! So excited, but it means I have to spend today cleaning. Sunday will be spent doing whatever my dad wants to do, which will probably include a super cheap lunch and lots of sweets.
3. Homeowner. This poor girl never thought it'd ever happen, especially in my neck of the woods.
1. Fair/Warm
2. If you ask my family, any color! Personally, I love dusty roses. Kat Von D in Lolita is My-Lip-But-Better with Lovecraft as a close second.
3. Once again, my family would say any color. Personally, I love how olive green and gold looks on me.
4. I have naturally rosy cheeks, so I usually don't wear anything on them. If I feel like it, I'll try to subdue the color with a matte dusty pink, but not too much since I'm fair and it can look like dirt.
@eltscott Fret not, HP land is coming to Universal Studios Hollywood! Granted, it will be a few years, but it's coming. :D
Haul: Illamasqua polish in Phallic, O.P.I polish in Just Spotted the Lizard, another First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream, and Jack Black balm in Black Tea & Blackberry which I have to drive pretty far to find, since my local pathetically tiny Sephora never has stocked. :(
Weekend plans: Watch my hubby get all nice and sweaty while he does yard work. ;) Afterwards, enjoy some downtime together at the movies or DVR stuff.
Amusement/theme parks: SoCal girl! Even though money was super tight, my parents saved up every year so they could take my sister and I to Disneyland and Knott's. Can't wait for the Harry Potter park to open on this coast, the hubby and I met thanks to HP. :D
Haul: Nothing! I was at Sephora today with the new Kat Von D Mini True Romance eyeshadow palette in Little Sinner and a Nails Inc. glitter polish in my hands when I felt really sick. I had to drop them and run out. :( At least now I can add those to my birthday list.
Weekend plans: Hang out with my mom while my dad helps the hubby out with gardening. Maybe visit the new Whole Foods down the street and complain all over again as to why they chose such a tiny location. I can't decide if I want to laugh or cry whenever I drive by.
Favorite gemstone: Pearl. I'm a June baby and I LOVE pearls!
So unexpected, but oh so welcome!
And yes, all day today I shall be rocking my unicorn and rainbow Diablo 3 shirt with dark red lips.
The workers at my local Sephora constantly suggest I try Clinique. I always politely say, "No, thank you." When they persist, I have to tell them the truth, that I'm allergic to the brand. A few times they'll just stop after that, but more times than not, I get a response similar to this, "Pffft! But Clinique is great for sensitive skin!" I usually just smile and wait for them to walk away or ring me up.
At MAC, I'm constantly being told I should buy a darker shade of makeup just in case I tan. I never ask for any foundation help. I just browse the lipsticks. They make me want to scream. So so bad.
