Great article.

Tyrunn Walker, Travaris Cadet, Derek Moye (6-5" WR), and Galette are all interesting.

I hope Cadet will keep impressing.  I'd like to see how he would do out of the backfield w/the starting O-line unit.  As we could se, he can definitely catch the ball out of the backfield, meaning, Daniel had trust enough in him to toss him the rock.

Ivory RARELY catches the rock out of the backfield (Tampa 2010?)... and Cadet plays ST's too.

I wouldn't be surprised, if Cadet continues to look good, it's Ivory who gets cut.

Or gets traded.

He's gotta be worth a late round draft pick, huh?

Ok, ok... one game at a time.

Have a good one-

So, "that's what he's not about?"

I'm oddly stunned.

Somewhere, coach Payton is giggling like a mad man burning effigies of Goodell.

Just another sign that if you wanna be reinstated in the NFL, you have to kiss 'ol Rog's asshole.

He is underrated.  And the dude has never broken a bone in his life to this day!!!!!

I've about destroyed my skeleton at this point!!! hahaha...

The dude is flat-out DURABLE.

And that's something no NFLer can really count on.

I'd say Shanle is blessed, in a weird way.

Take it easy and keep up the good work!

Hello man!

I'm really thinking they're gonna utilize Martez at DE.  But I wouldn't be surprised if he played in some LB packages.

With 'Tez size, it's almost a damn shame he isn't a MLB... but we got that covered.

And you brought up Herring covering... good man!  I remember him picking Eli off in the endzone last season.

I like him too if he's healthy.

He and Hawthorne should be familiar w/each other from their time with the Suckhawks.

All-in-all better LB corps if you're asking me.

But nobody has yet!

HA!

Be stellar bro!

Great article.

I'm going with the obvious.

Hawthorne-sam/Lofton-mike-Shanle-will.

And I say Shanle because both Loomis and Michael "The Beerman" Lewis told me he has had the most outstanding camp since he's been a Saint.

And that's saying a lot, actually.

With that said, I love the speed of Casillas, but we can't count on his durability.  Believe me, if he could stay healthy, he'd be a lock.  But, he hasn't.

If he IS healthy however, I could see him used on passing downs, or as a blitzing LB because of his speed.

Be cool-

WHOA....

Didn't see that coming.....

Maybe just camp bodies, but the Schouman signing might mean D. Thomas isn't 100%.

God I hate the injury bug.

Hello Gene!

I think we'll keep 6-WR's again this year= Colston, Deverey, Moore, Morgan, Roby and Toon.

Arrington has worn out his welcome and is not physical, nor big enough to knock DB's off the line of scrimmage.

Be cool big daddy!

Thank you for NOT being a troll.... like the pricks on PFT...

See, I NEVER go to another team's website for jack shit... I could give two humps.

But you are an AFC advocate, and good on you for showing some class.

And HECK YES "something" happened...

"Something" that happens/happened every second, of every year, since the dawn of the game itself.

Be cool there Steeler lover-

1 year ago on New Orleans Saints Jonathan Vilma strikes back at NFL with defamation suit

Reply

Well Gene...

No way am I, a Saints FREAK gonna take Goodell's word on this.

Show the evidence of a "bounty program"... that's all.

And if Vilma and the Saints are proven 100% guilty, fiiiiine.

Vilma obviously feels like he's been slighted enough (and I agree) to rebut.  I've said all along to my lady when this thing first started, "Wow, they (the media/TV/websites) sure are plastering Vilma's face all over this thing like a poster child.."

I'd love to see Jon win this, for himself, for the Saints org, and for us fans.

How I would LOVE to see the screeching about face comments on trash sites like PFT.

Hell yes I'm biased (!), but this just feels warm in my guts, and that's a good thing.

Makes me wanna turn up a cold sip for Vilma!

Gene-

Couldn't agree more with you... there's a huge drop off of "known" talent at CB after our starters and Johnny Patrick is no sure thing, although I like what I've seen of him.

With the elite QB's and Wr's out there, and on our schedule, we can't rely on the "magic" we had last year of having the injury bug nowhere in sight.

Even when Drew signs, w/out a solid 2ndary, things could look a whole lot like 2007-2008.

And we even have questions on the D-line left over from last year...

There was minimal pressure put on opposing QB's, and our 2ndary had to work overtime...

So, questionable D-line, AND a questionable DB situation?

Depressing thought(s)...

"Romeus, Romeus... where for art thou Romeus..?"

And add at least one more CB for the sake of sanity.

And although I'll feel better when the headlines read, "Brees Signs"... our D-woes, added w/a new D-coordinator= one huge ????

Spags has been up and down... in NY, he had the personnel to get the job done, especially the front 4. The Giants LB's weren't anything to skip over either.

ON OUR D-LINE LAST YEAR: No more Rogers or Franklin at DT, which is cool w/me.  A rotation of Ellis, Ayodele, Bunkley, and maybe, maybe Hicks could be better.  When Remi "The Frohawk" played w/us in 2009, Will Smith and to a degree Charles Grant were freed-up.  Smith had 13 1/2 sacks?

Plus, we have youth at DE this year, especially whilst Smith is out w/his suspension= Cam, Galette, Romeus and Broughton... add vet McBride to that group and we are looking at a new-look D-line.

And a new DC... w/a new system.

Not that I'm NOT looking forward to seeing what unfolds, but this year could be transitional/tough to watch when our D trots out on the field.

I like our LB acquisitions on paper, but we'll have to see how that unfolds...

Shootouts anyone?

The headline says it all Andrew.

Tell you what- in the 2011 mini-camps (or whenever they lock out was over, I'm on the hippie lettuce, so my memory is lame), coach CJ told me straight-up that he was concerned about AA's "skinny frame" an alluded to his less-than good downfield blocking.

His injuries don't surprise me at all... look at his small frame... very thin.  The dude is the perfect height, but if he hasn't muscled-up by now, lets hope Toon has a monster rookie pre-and-regular season.

Good article during the downtime on Saints news there 'Drew.

Love my Saints news.

Sorry about my delayed response Larry... got crazy busy yesterday.

I haven't heard anything on Brees yet, but man, TRUST ME...

DREW WILL BE TOSSING THE ROCK FOR THE SAINTS ASAP!!!!!!!!!!

The way I see it, it's a good sign when we are still signing guys like Ayodele.

We're setting up the D!

That means Drew CAN'T be that far from getting out there w/the fellas.  Worst case scenario would be Brees sitting till pre-season.

He will be in Black and Gold, with the #9 in full force!

Excellent x's and o's breakdown Matt.

Still, good luck defending it, especially rookie Barron.

He will get burned in coverage vs. the Saints, like every other "elite" prospect or veterans alike.

Fear the Saints this year.
