I'm so disappointed now. I haven't bought any of the permanent GA EtK eyeshadows because the shades haven't appealed to me at all, but I've always been curious and wanting to try them because of all the raves and great reviews. I have crazy oily lids and major trouble with creasing, so these shadows seem perfect for me. After seeing pictures and swatches of this collection on several different blogs, I fell in love with #24, #25 and #28, and ordered them right away in fear of them selling out (haven't received them yet, though). I'm just so annoyed that two of these shades only got a B+. It's so typical. I mean, why can't there be amazing quality shadows out there that actually have pretty colors that work well with my skin tone? Gah. Sorry about the rant, just had to get it out.
@Christine-Temptalia Oooh, don't have that one! Looking forward to the review!
Don't know about this one. Seems kinda chalky and powdery to me. Guess it would be pretty on fair, cool skin, though.
@Christine-Temptalia What's on the other cheek? Seems like a pretty coral/red.
IMO red lipstick in general is overrated.
I really hate it when you see pretty shimmer in the bottle and then it disappears completely on the nail :( Nice shade of red, though.
First guesstimate: 300??
After a quick and rough count: About 650 (not counting palettes)
*hides in shame*
Haul: Illamasqua Smash, Whack and Scorn nail polish. Armani Eyes to Kill Intense in #24, #25 and #28
Weekend plans: Just got home from a four week long vacation, so I have extreme amounts of laundry that needs to be done.
Favorite accessory: Definitely earrings. I love all kinds of dangling ones!
Never! IMO if your makeup still looks okay halfway through your workout session you're not working out hard enough.
I think it's funny when I go to the gym and the people wearing makeup are more often than not just barely moving and more busy looking their best and staring at everyone else working out.
Your skin tone/coloring: Light-medium (NW20-25)
Do you prefer pink or beige lipstick: Pink.
Do you prefer coral or plum blush: Both! Coral and plum are actually my two favorite blush shades. I use corals most of spring/summer and plum most of fall/winter.
Do you prefer black or brown eyeliner: Black!Deborah Lippmann is probably the nail polish brand that has disappointed me the most. All the polishes I have are so sheer, they've all required at least 4-5 coats. The biggest disappointment was the first DL polish I bought, Across the Universe. I absolutely fell in love when I saw all the pretty online swatches, but IRL it was nothing special, really sheer base and ugly glitter that applied extremely unevenly.
I love Wicked Game, though. It's such a great shade and it's a lot more opaque than it's dupes.
Of all products they could make permanent they chose frosts. Why, MAC, why??? :(
I love them! They are great for times when I want a bit of color to my lips, but don't want the stickiness and high shine of gloss or something as opaque as lipstick. I love that I can get some color and moisture at the same time. Absolutely everything shows on my lips (unless it's completely clear ofc), so tinted lip balms to me are like sheer lipstick to others.
Love this shade! I have really been into medium blues lately. Zoya Jo is my favorite so far, and this one seems somewhat similar, maybe a bit lighter/dustier/less blue (kinda hard to tell from online swathces - most swatches of Jo are way off). It's definitely a polish I'll be checking out!
@Pinkie Pie Style Seriously? I don't know what you consider high quality makeup, but I have Guerlain, Chanel, Dior and Burberry just to mention a few high-end ones, and they all crease on me within 30 minutes without a primer. I've tried all brands that has been reviewed on this site except Armani EtK (3 on the way in the mail now) and EVERY SINGLE ONE creases.
Yes, high quality shadows last longer than poor quality drugstore shadows, but for some people primer is still a necessity. Primer prolongs the wear of shadows regardless of their quality.
A great shade on tan summer feet!
Product -> brand ->color
@Safyre I sort them YORVIBG lol. Btw, I stared at those letters forever trying to figure out what they meant :P
I love the finish, but hate how sheer they are. I hate VNLs.
Neiman Marcus has Tom Ford and they accept international credit cards!
