I am not wearing hijab now , but when i will choose too , wouldn't be my right!!??? @YaraEmadany It is brave of her to share what she felt , it is good to show to the world what she delt with and what she was going trough...but to GENERALIZE and speak for t all muslim women is Wrong!!! ...i am a muslim woman and all my acquainteces are muslims and none of us is suffering form what she s saying...sure it exists in our society and we know they need help ... but no need to speak for all the muslim women...!!!!

@LaurensJam @SallyCarmen i do agree with what you say ...but my idea is that arab people should Return back to islam and not the opposit !! beleive me , all the picture u have now about the arab world is due to the LACK of islam . This Violence you witness is not linked to our religion. As a muslim i can state that 95% of our acts has nothing to do with the islam!! all the selfishness , close mindness we live in is because of the mis-understanding of islam...because we are afriad to say NO to our traditions which are based more on "what others may think "than religion!! ( hope u get what i want to say :)

@hanedwar i am not attacking anyone in anyway...What i am saying is that our problem is not the ISLAMIC laws : if we were really a good islam followers , None of our women would be ruppet because as i said it is a CRIME in islam and so it is FORBBIDEN! The Minds WHO need to be changed...and no RULES could help in RE-structin' the Minds and way of thinkin' of people ...What i am saying it is maybe time for Arab people to search for what made them MUSLIMS!! ( get my point...??) Because Not all of our acts are Islamic :/
@SallyCarmen the constitution of Mariage in islam is not JUST about Desire, sex, love ( it is not a fairy tale when it doesn't go well we just give up and claim for a divorce and yes halleluaj we are single and free again) ...it is more about respect , tender, grace and comprhension, it is treating the other well in the sake of God it is to stick around your partner in good and bad times no matter what happened and be patient because we know God will reward us if we are patient!!! The prophet mohamed said the best Man is the best to his Wife. The coran mentioned several times that the Men should always love and take care and be gentel to their wives because the wives are the ones who are goin' to support them in the bad times and will help them to raise their children! ( so why taking just the part of beating which is mentioned JUST ONE TIME IN ALL THE QURAN, and yet you do not know in which circumstance it was said ) about the age of mariage in the era of the prophet , don't be mistaken and don't be overwhelmed with the details see in its context back in that time !!
@hanedwar @Menagerie717 Heal from her attack, the Question is WHERE?? What you are missin' is that we are In a Moroccan Society !!! Thousands of single mothers who refused to marry their rapist, they found support from associations and organizations but still they are suffering miserably from society...and i guess this is not a thing you could fix with manifesations or with some Laws or rules but with the Re-struction of Both minds ( women and Men) !!!
@Menagerie717 You should not take the case of amina El filali without considerin' the circumstances in which the Judgement was announced! I am not with the Judgement ( because in Islam the rapist is a criminal and should be punished) But Society is a melting spot of hipocrisy , misdjuging and misunderstanding...And if Amina didn't marry her rapist what were the other Alternatives!??? It is another Issue that has nothing to do with discrimination between gender or Islam ....
What i am saying : it is time for arab women to stand for themselves , it is time for them to decide what they really want (and don't want ) to change! if we need to abolish a law or a rule , we have to be decided to do so ...by our OWN will!! It is time for arab women to find their OWN path based on their own bleifs not by imitatiing the West!!!! What i try to communicate to you , it is that we have a different way of life ... and while Changing things we should take into consideration our History so to not loose our identity!! The diversity is a bless! So while claiming for change we should not claim it in the Western Way but in our Way !! ( hope you seazed what i am trying to say )
It is the 21 st Century , The arab Women could speak for themselves! an arab woman could fight for herself!! It is true that in some places a certain discrimination exist! But, we should in no way generalize this IDEA ...Don't think that all arab women are MISIREBALE, They are not!!! ...And please, like stop Welcomin' Us to your world of INDIVIDUAL freedoms!! Yes, Some women may need some freedom but not as the one you KNOW!! We have different VALUES and Principales!! Why could not you Just Get it...and respect US for what we are!! You say HIjab is a discrimination...Okai!! but what if i WANT and I CHOOSE to Wear HIJAB !! it is my personal CHOICE ,( no one has forced me ) wouldn't be a discrimination if you do not accept me ???!!!!Stop your "CONSPIRACY theories" and try do not rely on just one or two Statments,
try to make an effort and Critisize and analyze what you get from the MEDIA !! I am an Arab Muslim Woman , i am free , and i am enjoying my life !
