So much hoopla about the judges. They're making it all about the judges rather than the contestants. I think the only way to save this show is to have an American Idol - All Stars!!! It would be so interesting to see where the previous contestants are now and their struggles to find their way in the music industry.
Randy is gonna get fired now and will be hired back at the last minute. Didn't we see this already with the X-Factor UK when Louis Walsh was fired and hired back? They are so reading Simon's playbook right now :D
In the tradition of Paula Abdul and with teen pop icons currently judging reality singing competitions, I say they should hire Tiffany and Debbie Gibson. That would be so awesome against Britney and Demi and Christina. Lulz.

@XL Talk about generalizations huh. Its not like everybody has accepted this in the US. Just watch and Glee and go figure or Anderson Cooper being laughed at for officially coming out. The highest box-office it in the Philippines stars a gay man - Vice Ganda, flamboyant though he may be. One of the most powerful men in showbiz, Boy Abunda won the Asian TV Award for Best Public Show Host. When did an openly gay guy ever win an Oscar Best Actor?
Hmm... First, I thought Kelly was a good judge except for choosing non-winning acts. I still haven't forgiven her for not choosing Jade Richards. Second, Nicole is nowhere as good as Kelly and she does not have the charm that Danni and Cheryl Cole had. Looks like Simon really has no choice at all anymore. Sigh.
It makes sense to buy Phillip's journey album over Jessica's. Who wants to hear songs like I Will Always Love You, The Prayer, How Will I Know, and And I Am Telling You on your ipod. Had Jessica stuck to her guns and sung urban and edgy songs like Stuttering and Sweet Dreams on the show, her digital sales would be much much better.
@Rickey I think that Madonna taking on the fame-whore that Lady Gaga is just reinforces Lady Gaga's publicity machine... that's all :P

I loved Cheryl Cole as a judge on X Factor. She was exceptional. I bet her accent would even be a hit among the US audience.
I love Jessica and I would have if the president was not PNoy. His administration just loves to be the center of attention. Ugh. They have more important things to do. I do understand the frenzy over Jessica... after all, Filipinos are on average the best singers in the world.
