"Selects", not "Elects" was the "Iranian election". These terrorists had to be approved by Guardian Council to prove they are terrorist and Islamic enough. And also, 73% number is a lie. There are no international monitors or United Nations to verify this count (you trust a totalitarian regime to be honest about their self-reporting numbers? The same regime that committed fraud in 2009?). And also, any person who works for any government affiliated job (nearly half of jobs) must prove they voted through their papers or "shenas nama" or risk being fired. Sham totalitarian elections mean nothing. Saddam had "elections" too and so did the Soviets. As long as the Supreme Animal Khamanei is not on the ballot and any person is not allowed to run in not being a regime insider, these sham "elections" mean nothing.

I have GREAT respect and admiration for Senator John McCain. John McCain has stood and continues to stand for freedom, human dignity, and democracy. No real Iranian votes in Khamanei's sham elections of Presidential puppets. But it is important to note that those Iranians who have jobs affiliated in any way with the government (i.e. banks, schools, businesses, etc) have no choice but to cast a ballot. Nearly half of Iran jobs are affiliated with the government or Revolutionary Guards. If they don't vote and prove that they have voted (via a stamp in their papers) they can get fired. I have family members like this. And plus the government itself makes up the percentage of people who voted (there is no U.N. committee monitoring the results). Anyhow, these sham elections mean nothing. The existence of this regime is incompatible with human civilization. All these Presidential puppets (who have no real power anyway) had to be approved by Khamanei's crony of the Guardian Council to prove that they are Islamist and terrorist enough for the regime. Nothing happened was unconstitutional with the government metadata information programs (phone calls, internet). All three branches of the government were involved and it was part of the Patriot Act which the Supreme Court has not ruled unconstitutional. I will say that the Founding Fathers did not have the type of global terrorism that we have to deal with today. The U.S. constitution is a living and breathing document that changes with the times. We have to take the necessary actions to keep the homeland safe. And this only dealt with metadata information and prevented multiple terrorist attacks. If we don't do anything and another major terrorist attack happens, people will blame the government for not doing enough. Both Republicans and Democrats understand this and out of all the gridlock in Washington, this had bipartisan consensus due to protecting the security of our nation. But regardless if you agree with what the government is doing or not, the fact that this guy leaked classified information that he was sworn to protect makes him a traitor and guilty of high crimes against the United States. And what he has done is jeopardized national security. He needs to be extradited and brought to trial for his crimes against the United States. If you don't like the Patriot Act, challenge the constitutionality. In the mean time, this traitor needs to be brought to justice for his crimes against the United States. He deserves the same type of treatment as Bradley Manning.

The fact that this traitor "revealed" his information to The Guardian, an anti-American, pro-Islamic rag "newspaper" in the U.K. demonstrates enough about this traitor. And he gives the interview to Glenn Greenwald! The biggest anti-American, anti-western civilization, and pro-Islamic s c u m ! This traitor deserves to be locked up in solitary ASAP.
