@Master Ace @Thriding Yep, and Henin famously lied to the chair umpire about it in the 2004 FO semifinal against Serena. Serena misfired a 1st serve because Henin put her hand up before Serena could notice it. Maybe that's why she has an issue with Azarenka doing it. Not saying that Azarenka was lying or cheating, but just that Serena may be sensitive to it.
@lethargic @UKTennisMag While this is true, If you look at their overall performances against Serena, I'd say Azarenka has a better shot of at least making it entertaining. Serena's had Maria's number for years now, but Vika has taken it to Serena a few times at least.
Yep. And I don't want to think what would've happened if she had her serve from the 1st round... she would have been sent packing for sure.
@Robert K @Sinnet Except that she did. At the 2007 Australian Open. And won the whole thing - ranked 83 I believe
@fiona111977 Serena lost the point that was in question - giving match point to clijsters. She was then defaulted another point for her behavior, giving Clijsters the set and match.
She's got at least 1, maybe two more in her - at the US or Wimbledon.
@RogerisaChampion Can you post a link? Not sure where to find transcripts on that site.
@SunnyKanagi @Jigsawwill Or you could actually listen to what she has to say about the FO. She wants another one, bad. She's said many times that she loves the clay and loves the tournament but for some reason can't make it past the quarters there. If she can clean up her act - she'll win this one.
@Nucking Futz @Chinah @Zenon01902 @toddtoddstein Venus, Davenport, Hingis, Capriati, Graf, Kuzzie, Sharapova (pre-surgery), Seles and Mauresmo hardly make a shallow pool as far as I'm concerned
Sorry - Graf and Davenport as well
Jankovic, Clijsters (twice), Henin, Hingis, Seles, Sanchez-Vicario
