@tlwest "Most purchases of US treasuries were a desperate attempt to keep the yen from going through the roof.  No conspiracy required."

Such a silly pair of sentences. To begin with, Japan could have spent its money on much better assets than U.S. Treasuries. They only bought those because they yielded to U.S. pressure. Second, why do you think the yen goes up? No conspiracy there? Or just a massive dollar printing campaign by the Federal Reserve. But no conspiracy. Right.

You are being disingenuous.

Your joking right? Google the web for the document which shows the foreign holdings of U.S. Treasuries. For China and Japan it's like a trillion dollars a piece. @tlwest

North Korea is the stooge of the West. The West uses North Korean provocations to convince her neighbors that they need the U.S. military to defend them. I wrote a book which talked a lot about this subject (read Chapter 4 in particular): http://bfanwo.blogspot.com/2013/03/the-year-of-snake.html

You are the dumbest people in the history of the universe if you believe that Okinawa will accept the Futenma replacement plan.

Actually this so-called threat of war is nothing more than an attempt by China, America, and Tokyo to scare Okinawa into accepting the Futenma replacement facility. I wrote a book that talks a lot about this subject, in case you're interested: http://bfanwo.blogspot.com/2013/03/the-year-of-snake.html

While everyone is focusing on all this apology business, here's what I want to know. When is the CIA going to apologize for creating Al Qaeda? FYI: if you didn't know that the CIA created Al Qaeda, watch this video:

If there is an award for being stupid you people who "manage" the "alliance" have certainly earned it. It is plain as day how this is going to turn out. The public will be told the complete historical truth. China, Japan, Korea, and America must change in fundamental ways. Every country must be transparent, accountable, and uphold human rights. This is what will happen. By delaying this, you are only making things worse for yourselves and everyone else.

The idea that Japan will undergo a party realignment that leads to anything positive is the dumbest idea I've heard in a long time. There are no good Japanese politicians. Putting them into different parties will not help. The only thing that will help is telling the public the truth and getting rid of the politicians. If the Obama administration has shown anything it is that republicanism is fundamentally a bad form of government. It will not survive. History will end. Just remember, you heard it here first.

Oh, and by the way...

@tomricks I take your silence as proof that I am right. I keep telling people that they must uphold my three yeses (transparency, accountability, and human rights) immediately but you people just refuse to listen to me. You people are beyond stupid. My three yeses will completely crush you.

@VijayBhaskar Partially true, but this is mostly an effort to block people from learning the truth. Because, you know, if you have people talking to each other they could say things like...

Did you know that during the Bangladesh independence war, Indira Gandhi blocked aid to the refugees in India and she prevented UN observers from ensuring that the refugees camps were not being used to launch attacks against Pakistan from India? Did you know that Indira Gandhi blocked the aid to the refugees because she wanted the refugees to be more miserable so she could have an excuse to launch against Pakistan and split it in half? This episode is perhaps the one bit of truth that India fears the most and would do anything to conceal.

ooooh...look who's calling for Obama to get tough on Kim Jong-Chubby. It's number one lying appeaser...err, I mean realist Moron Mike. Question for you Moron Mike. Which administration was it that had the bright idea of taking North Korea off the list of state sponsors of terrorism?

Note to Obama:

WE CAN BY NO MEANS ALLOW KIM JONG-UN TO CALL FOR BRINKSMANSHIP DIPLOMACY AND WE CAN NEVER COMPROMISE ON THE ABDUCTION ISSUE!!!

Note to Moron Obama on what this means:

North Korea back on the list of state sponsors of terrorism. Sanctions on Macau Bank.

For some reason, apparently, I am supposed to write something here. So...

Tom, had you been a better person you could have tried to provide a detailed answer to your question.

Obama is not the first Asian president in that he very much wants to extend so-called Western hegemony. He is the first Asian president in that he's been such a miserable failure in extending so-called Western hegemony that he has paved the way for the Asia or Pacific Century (whether the century is Asian or Pacific depends on what happens next). Through his actions (and the actions of other pieces of trash), he has proved that America, Europe, and Israel are fundamentally trash and thus has set the stage for the Asia (or Pacific) Century.

And one more thing. Just remember, you heard it here first.
