@CowgirlCas22 @Football Mensa Manning being one of the least sack QB is not his fault, he has good OC protecting him. Look at Denver Offensive line and the protection schemes they run for Manning, he doesnt throw the deep ball that Romo throws in Dallas. That on JG and his lack of knowledge in protecting his QB. But look at Manning he had 50 yards less than Romo despite being left for dead in the NFL and 37 years old..
@Football Mensa I think Paytan a good QB 7 of 11 years he has thrown for 2 to 1 Touch down to interception ration, and is the NFL leader in total yards passed. He also made a Offensive line in total disarray into the 4th best line in the NFL despite not having a great RB. In no way do I see him over rated at all.
@CowgirlCas22 @Californy There are many good player on that list. I dont comment on these articles because I believe we should focus more on today players, living in the past is nice remember these player but it only get me more depress so i try to stay away from these articles. Good Luck Cowgril
Jackie Smith Spend most of his career with the Cardinals also.
The number are somewhat misleading but at least they are consistent for the other teams. Many player mention base on the fact they played on these teams.
The boys are behind Washington and NY in the east in representative in the Hall of fame., The Cowboys are also behind GB, & Chicago in that department, but these other teams have been around like 50 plus more years than the boys too

America love winner and at one time The Cowboys were America team on the football field. Rodger made a living at making the comeback and winning of football games. The man with the funny hat and his QB were the face of this franchise back in the day. Today face is JJ, and he is selling us his two faces to the public. The one as this team GM and one tied to the glory years. But JJ record as it GM has been expose when the Jimmy team have faded into team history and the only person standing is JJ and his ego who have struggle to get back to 500 mark every year.
It really doesn't matter if your opponent know your play if you executed them like you should then no one can stop you. It all goes back to your action on the field and in the practice field.
I spend a life time facing bias the only way you should deal with it is by crushing your opponet. They can talk all they want, it the last man standing on the field that has the greater say. In other words let you action define who you are today, never the words
I rather the boys be the most hated team in football as long as we had a boat load of trophies.
I rarely follow the popularity list. These list are about the individual, what I care more about is team accomplishment, and how they do collectively. When it all said and done my Player when he retires will be the number 1 TE in most categories but until this point Jason Witten is about the team and how he does with the team as a unit. I could care less about the Cowboys popularity as long as we win the biggest games going down the stretch each year.
It weird how we remember certain players. lol. Bubba Smith was way before my time but I remember him for that gentle person In the Police academy movies not part of the fearsome four some that he was playing for the Rams. The same can be said by Merlin Olson, watching him on Little house on the Praire
They dont make player like this anymore both men are true champions and both deserve to be called the best at their position. Good players make their team better and this is how both men played.
The moose was a player who played the game not in the limelight but in the foreground to one of the best runner that ever was. They guy they said was to small, too slow to play the games in the NFL. Moose was Emmitt right hand man, without him there would be no Emmitt. There only been one player who was even close to Moose in ability and that is Lorenzo Neal. They don't make player like this anymore. The FB is a dying part of the NFL landscape and I just don't understand why.. I believe Emmitt record is safe for a while and the Moose help put his record there. The Moose may never get into the hall of fame base on his number but his block where sure hall of fame caliber hits. Great Article CJ one of your best in a while. I am glad you are on this site as one of the writer here.
I heard the boys have Jared Green in camp, he is the son of Darrel Green Hall of fame CB. http://www.optimumscouting.com/draft/articles/diamond-in-the-rough-jared-green-wr-southern.html It would be nice if they could cross train him as a CB.
I never been a fan of the GM or ownership of this team but you have to give credit where it is due. As much as I believe Charles Haley should be in the Football hall of fame because he done what no other player has done to this date. I believe the next player should be Tom Landry and Tex Schramm. That mark of 20 consecutive winning season is a feat I don't see being challenge unless Bill Bellichet continue coaching another 10 years and they get Lucky with another QB. Without Tex and Tom there wouldn't be the Dallas Cowboys as we know it today. The coach and GM left a mark that JJ has not even been close to even matching despite being one of sport most recognizable General manager.
I was looking at the list and everyone on this list other than Brandon McGee rates really low in talent. Most player rate some where in the range of 400- 600. I bet Taylor Reed will make this squad over Brandon McGee, despite his 70.000 dollars in bonus money. Some of these players like Greg herd confuse me, when his team mates Brandon Kaufman was a much better prospect. The lack of player on the Offensive line and defensive line mean the boys lack good scouts in finding us better players.
@Football Mensa Miles has a 10.2 million dollar cap hit if cut this year. I project the boys to be around 45-60 Million over the cap for next year with Free being cut, if you add Miles that number goes up another 10 million. William has yet to catch a pass don't anoint anyone just yet. Miles is also 28 years old also.
I wished we could of gotten Florence QB from Baylor, he led the NCAA ion yardage at 4300 yards and had 33 td to 13 interception. But he continue his schooling there
