A black gentleman has suggested that racism is the cause of all this and that black people are oppressed. As a white person, I am weary of being blamed for the failures of the black community. Many behave very irresponsibly and criminally toward their own community as well as society at large, and feel entitled to be more than equal because of the past sins of ancestors I never knew.

The radical left is using this to foment hate hate and more hate, they don't give a rats @ss what the facts are, and are not going to wait to find out what they before pronouncing what should happen to Zimmerman. Sounds like a good old fashioned lynching to me. Amazes me that they don't see the irony.
It's not race, it's poverty, someone commented. NO, it's lack of character, and poverty of spirit, not lack of money. People who steal and cheat no no excuse. Every conceivable service is available for those in need. For instance, I would like someone to tell me about Trayvon's gold teeth. If the work was required, todays standard high quality restorations are MUCH cheaper and more esthetic.
So why didn't the kid just call out a greeting? Everything's cool, I'm just walking home. Why did he have to confront Zimmerman and pummel him?
@paramorefiend With your attitude, you will go far in life and no doubt make reasoned choices, which is what all human beings should do. As a back person, I hope you will do what you can to help other black people to understand what you do. The facts matter. All The Sharptons of this world don't care about anything but inflaming racial tension just look at their histories, and also note that they doesn't care at all about black on black, brown, white or asian crime. They are even having a tough time with the fact the guy is hispanic and white, they prefer just the white title. Racist? Unfortunately, the radical left has co opted legitimate concerns and inflamed the public with lies and hystrionics in order cause nothing but upheaval. It is not for a good purpose.
Where is Holder, the New Black Panther Party is soliciting a murder! If the DOJ makes no arrests on that, then Holder should be summarily fired. And if not, this should become for the Republicans Biden's F'in Big Deal. This cannot go un answered. Let the Blacks and the Hispanics clean up their own neighborhoods and grow a backbone that doesn't include blaming everyone but themselves for what happens there. The Blacks in particular have abandoned the very idea that they are responsible for their children. In the Trayvon case, he was gone 3 days before he was reported missing. A son of mine wouldn't have been gone 3 hours before I would have been looking for him. This kid was raising himself, and not very well.

A respectful young man (are there any of those left?) might have yelled out "I"m just walking home to my Dad's house, everything's cool" or something similar. Apparently confrontation was more to his liking. As all the facts come out (if they are allowed to, I have no faith in that anymore, he'll probably have the same people scrub all his records that scrubbed Obama's, it's already started) a different picture may emerge. It is becomes unfavorable, then the narrative will change from white man kills defenseless black boy, it will be Hispanic man defends himself.
