@Jooseppi @Lost Ones @Grolgar do we know that non-repeat offender mark will be at 80mil for sure or will the new TV deals (which I don't remember when they happen) possibly affect that?
11 months, 3 weeks ago on Scott Brooks closing in on new contract with the Thunder
@FREE_COLE I was just kinda hoping that he would only get 2-3 years since I had just reluctantly accepted that Brooks would be back.
@DennisBerry I'd agree he didn't have the best rookie year and it pry won't be enough to get him but if Williams is going to be successful it is going to be at PF. He will never play PF for the Wolves so they have to try to get something for him. Pek is nothing like Gasol and doesn't have ability to get to the elbow and distribute like Gasol (important part of Adelman's offense)
@FREE_COLE he's awful isn't he? I used to live in that area and have a lot of good friends up there still so I see my fair share of Wolves ball. Their wing players are just awful. When Chase Budinger is a significant upgrade for you, you have problems.
@DennisBerry @FREE_COLE @ILikePancakes just read @Jooseppi comment below and understand why that wouldn't even be necessary.
What do you guys think about the possibility of Minny adding Gasol? I know he's soft but playing in Adelman's system I think he could be a really nice piece for them the next couple years.
@FREE_COLE @DennisBerry @ILikePancakes Agree with Cole here. Remember, MN only gave up a 2nd rounder to get Beasley. What has he done to prove he's worth more than that?
Why the eff is it so stupid in here lately? If I wanted to deal with that I'd go to some garbage ESPN forum. Please, for the love of God...no more blatant stupidity.
11 months, 3 weeks ago on Thunder select Perry Jones III with the 28th pick
@Ozarkhick my theory is that Kahn was very innovative but then quit smoking crack thus destroying his genius.
11 months, 3 weeks ago on Pre-draft Primer: Five big questions for draft night:
Anybody else watching SC when they showed the Hornets war room a couple minutes ago? It looked to me like the guy who's computer screen you could kinda see was on Chad Ford's mock draft. If so, that makes me chuckle.
@Grolgar @OBoymuzik with the new CBA it remains to be seen if the Spurs model is sustainable. So, while I agree that there is a good chance that OKC regrets dealing Harden if they do, we must all admit that because there are new rules everyone is trying to figure out exactly what works when trying to build a team. Everything is a bit different now
11 months, 3 weeks ago on Thunder have talked about moving up to get Bradley Beal
@Jooseppi I heard he's kind of a diva though..he only wants to sign with a team that will accommodate his posse of chairs
@Daniel Plainview @KS Storm Chaser I think if you come calling with the right pieces pretty much everyone except NOLA would listen.
@KS Storm Chaser @Daniel Plainview why trade up to 2 to get MKG if you could get him at 4 though? The less you have to give up the better
@FF_pickups ha I was listening to that same segment and I'm pretty sure there wasn't an intelligent thing said the entire time
@Daniel Plainview Gordon is only there for 2 years and it's not like the Cats are worried about getting to the salary cap. They could accommodate both for 2 years or even trade Gordon next year.
@Daniel Plainview @SammyThunderer I don't have a ton of faith in Henson either. Not sure he'll be anything but a career backup (I know that's easy for us to say about any of these guys)
@FF_pickups @Jooseppi @jdstorm @SammyThunderer True but it still makes no sense to give up Harden to do it. Let's say for example that we know for a fact that Sullinger is going to end up being the 2nd best player in this draft, but we also know he probably isn't going in the lottery and that he definitely isn't going in the top 5. If OKC were to trade up to #2 and take him and he ends up great does that make it a good deal? Not necessarily because they could have given up less to get him later in the draft.
@Jooseppi @jdstorm @FF_pickups @SammyThunderer that's also not fair. The 2nd best player is very rarely the 2nd pick.
@Grolgar @DavidAdams That's kinda where I'm at with this too. I like Ibaka but to me it seems like it's easier to find a shot blocking forward than it is to find another Harden. I'm not sure if there's another shooting guard under 30 better than Harden in the entire league.
