I agree wholeheartedly but do like Flacco a LOT! But to compare the two is ridiculous. They play for two entirely different teams...having a different scheme etc; Having said that, the players are the ones whom vote and that should mean something to all of us..
You are right on the money because if Jerry doesn't turn this team around soon ( Romo being the least of our worries ), Romo will get old enough to a point where we are starting over AGAIN, The time is NOW Jerry Jones.
I was critical of this pick at first but after listening to him speak, his good manners and genuine concern of where he was drafted, we have a good one...I am pretty sure about him :-)

What has Jerry done since the Jimmy left, the vikings trade for walker...nothing, nothing, nothing...he is incapable of being a great GM. He is great with money but to run a team, no, he is not...just look at the numbers...this is an easy one..will clairborne be a great pick? If he is a pro bowler for the next 7 years, yes...I hope he is, I hope he is. I love this team but cannot tolerate jerry jones for one minute.....even the media knows he is not qualified to be a GM...ask bill parcells....he couldnt even win here...
he has to become a probowl players for YEARS to become a GREAT pick. In my opinion, they should have 3 players by the 81st pick, maybe even 4 if they dealt the 14? In the jimmy johnson years, the cowboys had 6-8 defensive lineman that were interchangeable and all had high motors which in turn made their secondary better....we just put all of our eggs in one basket...i hope i am wrong..
what ever happened to my cowboys? jones was my worse nightmare and unfortunately he goes nowhere.
its a hard job picking these guys but clairborne is NOT smart and NOT smart guys get in trouble, make bad decisions and soforth. he scares me. i am glad jerry picked defense but to give up the 2nd pick hurts and hurts bad... a great pass rusher alongside ware would make jenkins a better player...we'll see..i know one thing....jerry jones loves guys who are questionable...we've seen it a million times
I do NOT like this pick at all....good player but giving up too much. They could have stayed put and received Ingram or Brockers. Pass rush makes DB'S better. Lack of pass rush makes DB's worse. Plus, they lose #45 pick now.. :-( Time will tell.
Th cowboys will be 7-9, 8-8. I said the exact thing last year and ended up 8-8. As long as Jones owns this team, this team will never reach its potential. he is a train wreck :-(
its funny, no one would have had to pay me a dime to make the decision to cut newman. he was terrible 4 years ago...however, the braintrust, the owner could'nt see it? that alone should make him replace himself. we are doomed. i call a 9-7, 8-8 season last year and was right on the money. we, again, will 8-8 the next season. it is really hard to be a cowboy fan.
