NELLIE! Even with spoilers, I'm still sad. I just love her.
I'm a big Nellie fan, so I'm very sad she didn't make it pass this episode because she could have redeemed herself here. As I became invested with the show, it would be hard for me to tune in to 3 episodes without Nellie :( :( :( @Rickey are you a Michellie fan? Can you make a post about them? @Idolwild Yes. From what I heard, Joshua slayed "No More Drama" during rehearsals, and a performance from PP reminded that correspondent of Kris Allen's "She works hard for the money". She also said Jessica's IDWMAT was also impressive during rehearsals. But, I'm kind of sleepy when I heard it in the news so I don't know haha
I heard it from a local morning show here in the Philippines :)
Hello. I was watching news a while ago and a "correspondent" who watched the rehearsals confirmed that Jessica will be singing I* don't wanna miss a thing, My all and I'll be there. Also, Joshua will be singing No more drama, and Phil We've got tonight.
I also like Hannah, but Team Danny is pretty strong. :)

Well, I am a big fan of your blog Rickey, but this is too much. C'mon, Rickey. This is mean. The "impartial" Rickey that I loved, where's that? While I think what the judges did during the results show was a bit unfair, I think Jessica doesn't deserve this much "hate". She's just living her dream, and while I don't like her "working so hard" shtick, I think we all are over-thinking and overreacting too much about that. And this post? Felt like hypocrisy. It felt to me like you were desperately looking for something to criticize about her. I'm not a big fan of Jessica, and I disagree that she's the best singer in America ever, but I think she's got talent. And potential. And didn't deserve to be eliminated that night.
Tbh, I was promoting your blog to my friends who are also fans of singing competitions like Idol, and so for me to read a post like this, I felt disappointment. Your "growing sarcasm" towards Idol over The Voice and the racism/crab mentality issues you say about your Filipino readers, it makes me sad really. PLEASE I WANT THE OLD RICKEY. I'm sorry.

Hello. I hope you take time reading this. I'm a bit disappointed with you, Rickey. I'm an avid reader of your blog, and I LOVED your posts from seasons past of Idol. I'm a big Idol fan, and I also enjoy watching The Voice. But I have to say I'm shocked with the too much negativity you've been giving Idol these past few weeks. I think it's a bit unfair for these contestants and for your readers as well. I understand that this is your blog and you can write anything you want, but you have to consider that a lot of people are reading your blog, and we get affected with the things you say. I just feel like, you're favoring The Voice too much, and you're hating too much on Idol. It's not like Idol is giving is so much worse talents compared to The Voice, because I believe they're offering us a talent pool that is up to par with that of The Voice.
One observation: I noticed that you have "negative" biases towards Filipino contestants on Idol, and I don't know why I feel that way. And the way you seemed upset that "Filipinos-support-Jessica-just-because -she's-Filipino-and-we're-not-giving-credit-on-her-Mexican-decent"? It felt more like an excuse to me. I won't say that I'm proud she's Mexican, because I'm a Filipino. But I'm not saying she got that talent from her Filipino roots alone. The world is full of talented Mexicans too, and Jessica's clearly one of them. Personally, I'm proud of her because she's doing good, she has a legitimate chance of winning, she's getting tons of "pimping", she's creating a lot of buzz and she has a Filipino blood.
And with regards to the Jessica-Cheesa thing, I really believe the reason why Jessica is getting more support from us Filipinos is because Idol is more popular here in the Philippines. Idol is televised in a number of channels, while The Voice is being shown in a cable channel only. And The Voice is a new show, while Idol's running for 11 years already. Idol has certainly made a mark on Philippine TV. I also didn't know Cheesa's Filipino. I think she never mentioned she's Filipino. I thought she's Hawaiian.
Anyways, I'm still a fan, and I'm not gonna stop reading your blog. I just hope you consider these comments from your readers, and "improve" on your craft, I guess? But I still love your blogs. My American Idol Experience won't be complete without your blog. HAHA
