@JuliaHugoRachel1  @Jaycel Adkins  "october surprise" shows how much disrespect and unvoluted is the progress for a modern society today and how primitive is the level of our republics, democracies, communities and the maturity of the citizens that live in them.  @SEAN SPOONTS  @Veritasworld  you forget the U.S. in that list ... it's all a chain that leads to the same warlord. Read the article speaking about war in october, well it's "fun" to read of someone talking about war like he was dealing with sweets. Shame.

@Veritasworld gun in your holster. I wouldn't be reading the posts and also comments to them if i didn't pay respect. I wouldn't be speaking your language and keep on learning it if I didn't. Can you just provoke fights ? and unleash hell ? that's what you do on Sundays ? Conservative and religious you should know that this is the day we rest and make peace. Will stop talking if it hinders your intelligence. No problems stay on escaping from the wolf ... do as you think! (did you ever? ask yourself that).

@CK5150 I have been looking online for sources it's incredible how much interesting things I found. Very moving aside this article has been also some reviews found over amazon couple books. This one refer to one http://www.amazon.com/review/RTMQDVDR2IV7W/ref=cm_cr_dp_title?ie=UTF8&ASIN=0887407188&nodeID=283155&store=booksanother says that the book he read is a must read for all the passionated about special operation readers. It "seems" that we just got another great topic to delve into! Mike invaluable explorer to SOF stories.

Mike thank you for this research ? How much have you been working on this? The article makes me a little doubtful in the middle part where you go writing the details of mission and it seems a little too much fiction ( I say so when I read the part of exchange of words between Mussolini and him during a fight and the fact that he broke a radio  ... where these details can be gathered and read?) , but you definitely make me and many more other people I guess, interested with the information you so kindly share. I would like to read the resources you have used for this so that I can read too about this formidable commando of the near, recent past. Thank you again.

@formwiz interesting I'd like to know more I am interested in Balkans in whatsoever story it may present in front of me. I'd like Sof rep to cover some story of the 90ties war or of the recent wars. The Yugoland landscape is a melting pot. It has been underevaluated for too too long believe me. I believe indeed that the Balkans are a place that with all its experiences and hisory pre 900 and modern, can teach us a lot of things for our own societies, fights, communities organizations and future challenges since a lot has been going on there so far and still a lot is going on there. Balkans are a infinite classroom for the nations of the World ... I will definitely have a look on wikipedia and so on about Otto. It is very well known how much the Combat groups of Germany has been respected and are respected today from the U.S. and used as a model, not just the Helmet of the U.S. soldiers MICH is just copying the german one, but as also the roman empire structure, U.S. troops took example from german troops as they were not citizens soldiers but professionals ...  this is actually talking about the future evolution of the U.S. fighters that has been told us throught the article here - http://sofrep.com/4240/the-future-of-usasoc-projecting-forward-into-the-coming-decades/

Fun review, but do the writers clearly state this is fiction ? Most of the books out of modern military and u.s. forces are full o fiction or story telling parts it is said. Even Herald story must be fiction and it has been publish to see what people would say and how people would react when they see a image of a hero that they didn't expected or imagine. That is the point. people want to know what they want not what is true ... It's all about that. I am not saying anything new.

@Ironsights1911  @markmiller @CJCJ    just another disturbing comment, not just a comment it's a truth. Those newspaper, tv, broadcasing organization are totally as many news paper and editorials politically oriented and biased. There is not more conservative, distorted, evangelizing network then FOX in the U.S. it's a texan tv for U.S. old stile americans who want to listen just to that kind of news... In a few words, it's like 1984, ever seen or read about Orwell book? Well Fox news would rapresent (it's not of course the only one in every country there are many news, tv, editors who operate as it does spreading ideas and attitude to make people become less intelligent (they tell stories of animals saved in dangerous situations, the dog that saves his owner, - yes these kind of nonsense stories are shown on tv news!! - then they tell every real story about real deal situation with a total distorted look. I really feel strange that people who go online informing them selves or especially that write online to inform others still read or listen to TV editors when is perfectly known by freemen and every single informed person that main stream is totally trying to make you a puppet.NPR is better or PBS that were good services I think. Anyway the mutation that the most of the news on tv especially have gone through is something that has happened strongly in last decade but have started since when tv is there.  TV is a tool that does not allows INTERACTION. this is what makes it dangerous. Differently from Radio here you still can call and say your opinion tv doesn't allow that. It's a cannon, a gun pointed at you. Watch out the gun you play with. ... For the same reason when people want to ostracize other on internet forums or discussions that is just a retrogade attitude that they find comfortable since they are accustomed at being shot from the TV and so they want to be shot from one and only one direction also on the internet (internet allows freedom, don't kill it!)

@CJCJ  sure, why not ostracizing every one who says something that is different from your ideas, of course because he might get the truth or he knows what the truth is. I can't find more embarassing to offende the conscience of others so CJCJ it's not a problem if I offend you or a couple others of course, I won't write when you are here, and of course you do me the favor not to read me.This is real girl things.(as girls weren't allowed in the man thing and military groups also girls shouldn't be allowed to read sofrep, of course I am talkin bout you Cjcj).Just a comment about the news up here in this short article: I would prefere to find affirmative sentences not if phrases and probability otherwise where is the news ?

@AaronBrown yes .. i find really difficult not to think that what I read was not  fiction I read it interested but if from the mind width I was offended or at least moved by the poor and simple ideas of Marcus toward a completely different culture from his, I was also very dubtful about how the story was told. I hope that this book that is coming won't be too much fiction. I suggest to read Luttrell book it's a good story. I don't need a book to remember his camrades the fact is that it is impossible to know how these things go if we are not there ... Who is there has the power to tell you the truth. Who controld the media etc.(who has seen the videos where the fighter group who attacked Marcus team and sadly won over it show on youtube the tools used by the Seals? Well ... those are the only videos and files shared ? Do you believe so ?

Al qaeda does not exist. It's just a U.S. or Uk or Israel or anyway wester operated image that is of course working with that side. Nothing new we say if we refer to the fact that also Israel from the last wars played has been operating (since before Lebanon 2006) in the news-war where Israel recognizes itself that spreading news and their own truth is important as and even more then winning the war on the battlefield. The truth has been started dying since when Afghanistan was bombed, and Iraq was invaded for FAKE reasons. When illegally UBL (seemingly) has been killed a lot of stories, on porpouse has been sunk with him. I hope the book will tell less fiction and more truths like these... it's not cospiracy this is just the recognition that we have nothing to show for something!

btw ... it will be something like in Eric Haney style or maybe it will be something very fiction style like the account from Marcus Luttrell, Lone Survivor. With all the respect for who lost his life there (and they were many) I can't believe the story is real. Anyway wouldn't telling Sniper tactics be unsecure ... well I expect there was fiction. Why fiction was never mentioned. I am sure there is. Also in this no easy day book there will be a lot of fiction and I am sure this is just a marketing thing. The guy of course doesn't want to put other or himself at risk.Btw if you do this job WHY YOU SHOULD FEAR to be at risk ? You guys SOF carry no real fear with you for what you have done and do because you do the right things ... right ?The first illegal things was to KILL UBL. Because he was a source of information that could lead to the U.S. PResidency and to the american institutions since the attacks to america where and still are something that is TOTALLY unsure if they have been left happen or not and much more... The truth sooner or later will come at surface and the right people will pay for that. UBL was not to be killed. We are in XXI century not in Before Christ centuries.

It's just a marketing thing. How could they get this left on the loose and let somebody publish top secret things ? I say this is totally a marketing thing to make people buy these books that often are just let me say it ... just rubbish. There are a few books about military there are good. They are less then ten. In a few weeks after the first few thousand read the book and review it ... it will just burn itself ... I hope it is good I like good reads of course.

Here there's the complete assessment story from beginning to end and telling actually also what SBS guys did and how they got in or similar ..

The kidnappers seems are very ideologically driven and they didn't care about money.

Something that really is interesting is WHAT THEY WERE asking for. This has not be undisclosed and rasies some questions about the transparence of UK operation.

Here is a good article worth reading too : http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/africaandindianocean/nigeria/9132444/British-hostage-murder-SBS-moved-quickly-but-hostages-were-shot-before-they-entered-compound.html
