"Thus, we end up with a potential new Ke$ha fighting to be the next Mariah Carey."
THIS. SO MUCH THIS. There was a lot of missed opportunity with Cece given how good she was in "Sexy and I Know It." She got the bitch edit in this show and she was not allowed the chance to shine. Given the right songs, she could have ended up going further in the competition. It's amazing she even reached the Top 6 with the kind of songs thrown her way.
@JoeTranch @Forever504 I don't even understand how Chris Mann won that final spot over her on Xtina's team. I guess Xtina wanted someone to do a duet with.
@realphill has > he's (Dez)
@realphill what I'd give to have Dez and Trevin leave the competition. I believe has overstayed his welcome and Trevin's just too green for this industry. Look at Leah LaBelle (AI Season 3)! She was too young when she joined AI and after years out of the spotlight, she's doing great now.
Oh Cece, don't let your potential peak with "I'm Sexy and I Know It". That was the first time I loved you but then again, everyone's been handed bad song choices every live shows.
Today's the day that I could see someone else doing Kerry Ellis' rock version of "I'm Not That Girl" and sing it well.
@digitalpunkdiva She stated during the Top 10/12 that she sees herself as an alternative artist. She sang two Grace Potter songs on the show and made Someone Like You more rock, a song by The Zutons and another from Florence. Right now, we're back at a place where indie rock and alternative are pretty much interchangeable so I guess that's who she is as a singer.
@Mikhail XO @LinBrand which makes us wonder why he sang Scream last week.
A comment on MJ's made me crack up more than usual: Cassadee has excellent pitch, decent power and control. Decent power, yes but excellent pitch and control, are your ear drums even working?! I like her but I don't want her to win. Her fanboys and fangirls have all been blinded that she can do no wrong. Will admitting that she's pitchy and being mostly off key make her worth less as an artist? She was great for the last two weeks but during the battle and the knockouts, she was really bad.
Yay, finally able to log-in after so long. Hook might have been preparing to face Rumplestiltskin again though I've always imagined Hook to be a fairly physical fighter.
Definitely The Voice! There is real chemistry between the coaches and that's what missing in AI and X Factor US. The banter between the judges/mentors on Fox's shows feels scripted and that's something that we should not notice as viewers.
Started off a bit shaky but got better as he goes along. Definitely a lot of potential and he's the only one I wanted to see in the live shows aside from Brian Keith in the first episode. Didn't really care that much about the other contestants though.
For some reason I can't log-in to livefyre on my mac. Boo.Just want to say that Ashley de la Rosa from The Voice (Season 2) performed this better with more swagger. That was the first time I believed X-Tina's decision to save her. Might be a bit unfair to compare an audition to a live performance though.
@Rickey I love her too! And Stiles but I'm not sure I want to see them together. Hopefully Jackson stops being an ass before this season ends though.
Now how the fuck does Lydia know so much? I'm thinking she's going to be just as important as the Argents later in the series and that she's not exactly human. She knows Archaic latin, she has a predisposition for knowledge and she's immune to the werewolf's bite.
@XL that's true. Flamboyant gay men and women look down upon any gay guy who still wants to act like a normal guy. They call these men paminta (pa-men aka a gay man trying to be a man. I know it doesn't make sense). Its such a backwards country that they can't deal with the idea that a guy can be gay while still wanting to play basketball, own big cars and lift weights.
@Joystickenvy bullying should never be tolerated ever. To be honest, she's not really in any position of authority. All it takes today is one report from a disgruntled parent to take her job away from her. The kids can even lie about being abused and she wouldn't be able to do a thing. Its actually nice that this kids will be reminded of what they did for the rest of their lives. I don't even feel sorry about them receiving death threats. In fact I'm quite happy that they finally learned how it feels to be on the receiving end and maybe, just maybe, they won't even think about doing it again.
Just another fundie hypocrite ranting about how someone who has a different belief than her own doesn't deserve to be open about his faith. This is what I hate about religion. Everyone should be allowed to talk about their faith, not just those who belong to the dominant belief system. In her blind hatred of Islam, she forgot that Zayn is just 1/5 of Wand Erection and he isn't even the lead singer (not that they have an official lead).
All the Filipinos flaming you about Jessica couldn't detect the sarcasm. I find it kinda sad haha
I'm sure I'll end up watching this more than Teen Wolf. I need a new dose of Awkward.
