But that "bad" basketball team did come back and had a shot to tie the game after being down 20 at the half.... (granted they never should have gotten themselves into that deep a hole)

I am proud of the basketball team's effort this season. Had you told me at the start of the conference schedule we would go 9-9 I would have laughed in your face. They really came a long way since January and fought their tails off week in and week out mostly in front of a half empty Steg. KCP is in all likelihood gone bc if I were him I would be. The problem with UGA's basketball program is not the coach, nor the facilities. Its us, the fans. If the culture does not change then the results won't either. What big time recruit would want to play at UGA where no one cares? When you could go to Kentucky, Kansas, or Indiana and walk around campus like a god. Kentavious is a great ball player and a greater person... I wish him the best of luck in all that he does. As selfish as it may be... with the progression of our freshmen, If he came back for another year it could really help to turn the bball program in the right direction I just don't see it happening.
@annapolisdawg @GoBigDog @ARDawg2000 @dawgathon I'm not saying they are completely useless annapolisdawg. I agree your statement as well. But as you used Alabama as an example, let me use FSU who also is "loaded with 5 stars" each year and can't even win the dern All Cupcake Conference consistently
@dawgwalk Thats the truth. Just imagine how much better KCP would be too if we just had a halfway serviceable big man to demand just the slightest bit of attention.
@annapolisdawg @dawgathon BTW we came from down 17 on the road at Bama ( an NCAA tournament team) and should have won or at least forced OT barring that freak shot by Releford.

@ARDawg2000 @dawgathon Fair assessment of the basketball team, but the comparison of the basketball team to where our football program is today is just ridiculous. We are not Central Michigan. Last I checked we didnt have any 1 stars on our roster either. There is no football God who perfectly ranks and assigns stars based on every kids talent and potential. It is a very fallible, judgemental system mostly created by those who do absolutely no evaluating themselves which many people put way too much stock into.

@Gawdsport I feel like we should've played more man in the 2nd half. Playing that loose 1-2-2 was just leaving Vandy wide open jump shots all over the floor allowing them to make that comeback. Not to mention complete ineptitude on offense at the same time. Not a good recipe for a win against anybody. Gotta play for 40 minutes.
