@fayefaye That would be my top three as well. Melissa is probably my favorite, but I think Chris will win. The judges love him. Not that I don't like him, I just like Melissa's aesthetic a bit better.
Looking at the numbers for NBC's comedy lineup....I think they are going to have to figure out how to run The Voice five days a week lol
My favorite thing about the episode was when Zane said he was "playing chess the best way I know how, so hopefully I can king me." What a maroon!

she's really good. he hair made me think of alison iraheta, but she doesn't really sound anything like her.

@titina I think you're probably right about the ratings, but the show actually reminded me more of Flash Forward than Terra Nova. I think Revolution will probably be a better show than Terra Nova actually, but I don't know that it will actually be good. I love these kinds of shows and I'll probably watch the whole season even if it doesn't improve. It's going to be a show where you have to just not think about the mythology too much to enjoy it I think. The worst thing about the pilot for me though was the actress playing the daughter. Just didn't enjoy her performance. Maybe she'll get better.

@ArchieSue best of the two nights for me by a lot. i just hope she doesn't have a semi-nervous breakdown like the 13 year olds last season :>

@ArchieSue thought the rapping was bad, the song worse and the singing atrocious. so I knew he'd get through ;) I wasn't a fan of young homie last year, but I actually thought he sounded rather good on the one thing on his album i've heard.
@Mikhail XO @Tina Bradley @ArchieSue hah! you have a point, but I guess I was just hoping lower than expected ratings last year would prompt them to address the chief complaint instead of make it worse lol. I'm not sure if Simon really thinks all the overdramatic backstories and freak shows = putting the focus on contestants and not judges like he has been claiming in interviews or if he just figured people wold tune in to see britney so why bother fix anything :>
then again lots of people tune into jerry springer, so I reckon at least some segment of the audience must enjoy that sort of thing
@ArchieSue I thought Brit & Demi were both good, but the major fail for me was the overproduction. The whole thing had a sort of cheap feel to it somehow. Kind of like watching Jerry Springer vs Oprah. I think they could make gains in the live rounds, where The Voice tends to be weaker, but so far I'm not impressed.
