Definitely fell victim to the "hunger rule" today. Went to the grocery store and suddenly everything looked good. One thing I have come to find out is that just because it says, "Buy One, Get One" doesn't mean it is always a good deal!
@DavidThomasTao I haven't done it to often. I used the cheap stuff when I did though. Now all I use is aloe!
I have done this before! It works!
@WellnessNut Agreed. That is why there was a masseuse waiting after every hot/cold contrast bath.
@DavidThomasTao Agreed. I feel like there is a study out there for everything.
@DavidThomasTao Thanks for the study. Wouldn't you associate the soreness of one's muscles as part of the recovery process?
When I interned with the Philadelphia Union, the trainers would incorporate hot/cold contrast baths on recovery days. Those things were amazing!
Habits and Goals are crucial. I think most people can save a nice amount of money by just doing the little things. Plan out your expenses each month and then see how much is left over. Then see where you spend your money throughout the month and find the things you could do without or bought on impulse. That brings me to another point....impulse. Buying on impulse can be a killer on savings, so I always wait a day or two to buy certain things.
I think you will begin to see a lot of people working from home. I saw in a study how much people save by working from home. If someone is currently using 40 gallons a week, then that is a total of $200/week ($5/gallon) and $800/month. Now over a year that is pretty significant. Working remotely could be a huge option with companies.
Staying hydrated is very important. I do some pretty crazy hydration techniques when exercising/playing sports.
I try and stay hydrated while working. Whenever my water bottle becomes low, I quickly fill it back up and drink away! I recently have been trying to eat more things are known for having more water in them.
@EmilyMilam_Greatist @Mary C. Weaver, CSCS I definitely tried to follow those safety precautions. Another good tip would be to know your running route so there are no surprises.
I used to run in the dark all the time during summer college soccer training. It was usually the only time that worked around my scheduled, and it turned into a time to get fit and relax! Big fan of night running, if done safely!
@Philip Taylor Then FourSquare app is being added to my phone now!
I am with you on eating out! It just fits my schedule better. Restaurant.com is great, and many times they offer $2 certificates. I didn't know the whole "Chili's/FourSquare" thing. Do you get that every time you check in?
Local roads can be a place. However, local road could also mean less direct routes (more gas).
Philip TaylorIam1percentblog Stay strong with the Chase Freedom! I love it. I am not really into getting super complicated with the different reward systems. As long as it is consistent and make sense, then I am good to go!
