Hey Royce, good to see I'm not the only person still bitter losing a special talent like Harden. :) Thx!
@thelaughingwiseman Better player.
Whatever, Perk just sucks.
@BallSoHard Pretty much every NBA player is...
O.k., usually I post negative stuff about the Harden trade...but it's time to mention another thing once again...KD is absolutely amazing and could really reach the Lebron level in a year or 2. Ibaka looks great as well. Can't wait for the playoffs!
@<--Not About Dat Lyfe You're right. He's definitely better off now. Hopefully, Houston won't overake OKC soon...
@Tronchaser How is it better long term? A core of KD, Harden, Russ and Ibaka (all used correctly) would have been a dynasty.
@HookemKD KD is having a super season and his time as the nr 1 will come for sure...but he's nr 2 now and nowhere near Lebron yet. The finals unfortunately proved it.
@<--Not About Dat Lyfe Presti's mistake. Once Houston came up, 80 million came up. Of course he walks for an extra 25 mil. So would you. Plus to chance to show he can ball...
But if Presti doesn't trade him and matches a max offer for 60 mil, Harden is still here. I don't understand your point. Presti would have made those 5 million with the sales of false beards, too...goes both ways.
@Tronchaser Well said. I agree. But this is a fan board, isn't it? My opinion is that Harden is proving to be one of the premier players in this league, and he's 23.
Let me ask you...do you think it was good for the team to trade him?
@<--Not About Dat Lyfe Come on...don't deny the fact that Harden was under contract. If Presti didn't want him gone, he'd still be here.
@<--Not About Dat Lyfe Sure...they can fire him anytime...wasn't the finals enough for you? OKC was the better team. One player shouldn't dominate a whole team, even if that one dude is Lebron...but hey, Perk did something well, I guess...I just didn't see it.
@ILikePancakes Come on now...Houston can't beat OKC...
@Tronchaser So you should...he makes the decisions. Mostly, good ones. But your holy man isn't flawless, and trading Harden was horrible. Just like having Brooks coach anything but a high school soccer team...what do you think about Harden, Brooks or Perk?
@<--Not About Dat Lyfe Seriously, not even I think trading Harden was Presti's biggest mistake. It's nr. 3...behind 1. extending Brooks and 2. holding on to Perk...without these 3, I'd be the happiest Thunder fan. :)
@<--Not About Dat Lyfe You don't have to get into it if you don't care. :) But it doesn't matter what Harden wanted. If Presti would have played out this season and just matched the following max offer, Harden would be here for this and 4 more years. It was all in Presti's hands...and he let him go.
As far as who's better, Russ or Harden...you probably know my answer. :) To me, you just have to watch a game of both teams and it's more than obvious. But that doesn't even matter...they're both special, and I'm not talking Russ should have gone. Players like that - you keep.
And you're right...he probably can't improve much on O...he's so good that I wouldn't know how. He'll "only" get stronger, faster, more experienced...like all great players. Man...he scores in the 30ies with less than 20 shots regularily. You gotta be kidding...
@<--Not About Dat Lyfe Hey, we agree here. :)
