"Don't expect to be an overnight success"; this is the key point. Internet is not a place for becoming rich in a pair of weeks. Internet, social media, are places for working hard and then, collect.
Very interesting post, Dempsey, for reading it more than once and bookmark it. Google is the king (and in Europe with more than 90%) and people have to understand how they earn money. This is the way for them, "improve" what they consider is the best for their interests.

I agree at all. SEO is the key piece is you are thinking about the future. I just use PPC for urgent matters that can't wait for tomorrow, but working with perspective, SEO is the king.
