@CollegeWolf @slapdoghoops @WallyWorld @Daddyfatsax No I'm just stating facts.
@WallyWorld @Daddyfatsax Ypu still have not really explained to me how Kahn is inept? Financially the Wolves are fine as they arenot over the salary cap and most of Kahn's draft picks have panned out pretty well in the last three years. Johnny Flynn had an amazing rookie year and when he started to falter, Kahn easily found a way to get rid of him. Ricky Rubio, who many thought could be a bust, prove everyone wrong by becoming one of the best rookie pointr guards in the league. he probably would have been in the wunning for ROY if he did not fall to injury midway into the season.
You mention the signing of Brandon Roy as a mistake; however, if you look at the amount of his contract and its size, it can be considered a solid calculated risk that went awry. All the wolves stand to lose is just 10 million this year and next if Roy never plays again, Trading Wayne Ellington for Dante Cunningham was pure genius giving up a mistake of a draft pick for a young up and coming player who comes off the bench currently averages 8 and 4 per game. If Kevin Love were healthy, the Wolves would have had quite an intimidating front court to say the least.
Picking up Chase Buddinger at a relatively low cost was also a masterful stroke of genius on Kahn's part. If he had not been lost early in the season, no one would have cared whether or not Brandon Roy would have been able to play because Budd would have stepped in his place. And Nikola Pekovic can be considered as one of the best finds in T-Wolves History. He's playing like an All Star and is only getting paid under 5$ million. From what I have mentioned thus far, Kahn's track record has not seemed as THAT bad.
Let's not forget him picking up up Alexey Shved in the draft which has proven to be a steal as Shved's performance have thus far exceeded expectations. Altogther all of Kahn's personel move have prove to be for the better and if it were not for all the bad luck that came his team's way, the Wolves could have probably been competing for first place in the NW Division against the OKC Thunder. Most of your arguments on why Khan has been supposedly so terrible is not really based on any facts because the facts completely contradict everything that you have maintained thus far.
@Daddyfatsax Say what u want, but you can't blame Kahn for what happened. He could not control the injuries.
@Daddyfatsax Kahn is not as bad as people portray him to be. Remember he was the one who drafted Ricky Rubio, right? He also signed AK47, a major contributor thus far. If the team were healthy and winning, I am sure that you would be applauding him.
The Suns now have both Morris twins? I don't know if that will work because both are neither good enough in the three and four spots to make any real impact. Trading Telfair was a good idea. He was not doing much for the team. might as well send him off to a team that will have better use for him. Haddadi will more than likely get waived and that future second round pick will not have a guaranteed contract giving the Suns at least another chip to pull of another deal.
Tobias looked good in the Summer Leaue and was expected to have a big year in Milwaukee, but he simply fell off. He does have potential and hopefully he can salvage what's left of the season to at least showcase his abilities. The gem is this deal, however has to be Beno Udrih as he could probably start for most NBA teams, has an excellent perimeter game too boot as well. Jameer Nelson better watch his back.
Doron Lamb did not do much for the Bucks and will probably be a project that the Magic will either waive or simply dump in the D-league. Getting rid of Gustavo Ayon was a good idea because he was not really contributing, neither was McRoberts to say the least. Hakim Warrick has thus far been a factor for thus far this season, nor do I think he will ever be; however he's a cheap expiring contract, so no loss for the Magic.
Kenyon Martin was once an overpaid fraud and has now become a wased up has-been. the Knicks should have used a ten day contract to pick up a project from the D-League or some young prospect other than wasting money on this loser. I doubt that he will even make the rotation.
Good idea for the Wolves not to make any moves. Sad to say, but the Wolves are not headed anywhere this season so adding a new face would have been counterproductive at best. All Minnesota needs ids to get healthy for next season and try to give it another go with this current roster.
@4everis2long I agree, unless the Suns can secure an extension for Smith, which is unlikely to happen as mentioned by your reasoning, the Suns should not even bother trying to pursue him.
For Scola's sake, I hope that does get trade--preferably to a team heading to the playoffs or championship bound. The Suns owe him that much. Plus his presence has hurt the development of Michael Beasley. So its better for the Suns if they part ways with him.
To trade Beasley would be a mistake. He is too you and has too much potential to give up on now. He has such a high ceiling and given the right system along with a smidgen of patience, he will give a strong return on the Suns' investment in him.
To me I think that at this stage it is pointless for the Suns to look to trade anyone on that roster, let alone Telfair. His contract is rather inexpensive and his trade value is next to nonexistent. Might as well wait until the offseason and even then its doubtful that the Suns can really get anything for Telfair.
The reason why Gortat has not been playing well is because he has not been getting the ball. The team was also poorly coached to say the least and it affected Gortat's game. Simple as that. I'm certain that a coaching change will help improve things. And if it is not for an All Star talent, lottery pick or near equal value, it's not even worth trade Gortat.
It does not really make sense to make a trade unless it is for a future first round pick. The Suns are under the slaary cap and there is no chance in hell that they will make the playoffs this season so why even bother discussing such a trivial matter?
Tough loss if you are a Raptors fan: third straight game with a loss of three points or less.
Give the Wizards credit where credit is due. They may be losing but the stay in games until the very end. By all accounts they should be blown out in every game as they get routinely outshot and outplayed by their opponents, but they manage to hang on thanks to their rebounding (ranked eighth in the league) while being amongst the top ten teams in the league in forcing turnovers. All they need is a little more time and patience and then you will see the Wizards start to win.
OMG that's so funny (LOL)
James Anderson would be a solid band aid for the Spurs' current woes at SF, but they could just simply play small ball starting Neal at the two and Green at the three. The Spurs should certainly not waste their time and money on a washed up player in Mickeal Pietrus, however. He's not worth it.
