I hope he does well.  He certainly has the character and perhaps the smarts.  His problem is size.  This guy's already as bulked up as his frame allows.

It's pretty lame.  The Spanos's continue to disrespect its fans.  Also, if SD can't fill the seats, why would building a $1B stadium do the trick?  This nonsense of having an NFL worthy stadium does not make fiscal sense unless you have two NFL teams to fill it when real estate is pricey.

I dunno.  All I can say was that I felt sorry for him in 2004 and 2006.  He got screwed by bad play calling in 2004 and Schottenheimer panicking in 2006.  I remember how upset he looked in 2006 as he saw victory slip away.  I don't know what else he could have done those two years.  As bad as 2004 was, 2006 was even more painful as our guys pushed and shoved the Patriots around for 3 quarters.  Rivers' inexperience showed but Schottenheimer's inferior coaching was the deciding factor.  Schott was schooled big time.

The d-line has so much rotation during the course of a game and the course of a season that whoever starts is meaningless.  We need to be at least two deep on the dline.

Rivers is the best active qb that hasn't won a Superbowl.  The other guys are flawed or crummy.  I feel sorry for Cutler.  Lots of talent, but it can't be easy playing with diabetes.

@BrandonReisinger Pls don't lose sleep over it.  The Chargers are just going to have to prove that they're a contender and that they have good players.

@Chargersfan4life He doesn't need to sign to be in camp at this point.  So, I don't know why he's a no show.

I know I've been ragging on this guy, but he looks out of shape to me.  Here's a picture of DeCastro for comparison.

@619chargers4life Who would buy it?  I don't live in SD so I don't know.  I just find it hard to believe that someone would pay good money for an old stadium.  After all, what events can be held in them that would require so many seats.

If you want them San Diego, you know what you need to do.  Personally, I think these pro sports teams are ripping off the public.  I am not a fan of these billion dollar stadiums that get used only 10-15 times a year.  It's a bad use of money.

99 is a fine number for a Charger.  Other players that had it were Lee Williams and Raylee Johnson.  If Reyes is as good as Williams, we've got a player.

What's gotten into AJ?  Signing top picks before camp opens is completely out of character.  I'm happy to see him do it!

I would bring him back because he remains good at all the things that 3rd down backs need to be good at.  Would AJ?  Forget about it!

I'm okay with Ingram.  Altho we needed oline beef, we didn't address it in the draft, except for our fifth and seventh round picks.  We had so many  needs.  We'll just have to piece something together with what we have and free agents.  I also wonder if we need to try Molk at guard.  I wish we had more choices at this point.

RB doesn't bother me since there are so many decent ones available via free agency.

1 year ago on Should the Chargers Have Taken David DeCastro Instead of Melvin Ingram?

Byrd had the accident before he was picked.  I  have no issue there as he was projected to be an earlier pick had the accident not happened.  However, Troutman was considered by many to be a UDFA even without the surgery.  Now, that we know, this pick truly looks like an act of poor judgement or laziness, i.e., not conducting necessary due diligence.
