animeweedlord420 is actually cosplaying as Yayoi from Idolmaster (although he says Ami and Mami, I guess for the "lulz"): http://youtu.be/OFHdJ_r79so

I hope he goes to AX and does the same thing to NicoNico. I'd buy him burger for that~♥

Sal laughing at his own joke is probably the pinnacle of every podcast in forever.

I was always a little confused with their anime licensing, 'cause, yeah, they're also being shown on other sites (some even saying in better quality, too, but I haven't viewed anime on NN.).

Here's hoping the update will clean up the layout 'cause dayum! When the site first opened I saw videos of, like, kids playing their backyard and things not really related to what one would associate with Nico Nico. I think if they want a stronger user base they need to build communities and throw out new ideas.

The explore-like-you-have-OCD shtick is something I still enjoy from gaming's days of yore, especially in the Silent Hill games. Years after playing the first game I STILL discovered new things in the game.

Everything else sounds exactly like what I what expected. Homecoming was enough to drop me out of the franchise for good (although, Shattered Memories was different enough that I couldn't be disappointed in the same way, and it actually turned out to be decent) so I'll be skipping this, but at least this shows that Konami is kinda/sorta~ taking SH seriously again.

Oh, right, HD Collection...

Fun Fact: Homecoming was originally supposed to be more horrible than how it was released! (starting by making it a trilogy)

Holo Tupac  was made by a company in San Diego from what I read in another article, while Holo Miku was made by several companies in Japan. It would be interesting to see how they came about the idea for Thug Angel.

Although, all this reminds me of when Nat Cole "came back" for a duet with his daughter: http://youtu.be/53ith7bNN8w

Is this a rerelease of Abandon the Old in Tokyo? I have a copy of that volume from about three years back.

At any rate, I highly recommend that manga, and anything by Yoshihiro Tatsumi. The man has an eye for characters getting the short end of the stick - or probably are the short stick themselves in the postwar era Japan.

I think I agree. Toonami was around when the boom was on the upswing. They featured series that had momentum. I'd like to see CN/AS feature more series with variety, but that might be a hard sell these days. A series like Nichijou would be perfect.

If any anime block comes back I want it to be Tech TV's Anime Unleashed. They had different series going on and most, from what I remember, were home run hitters; Lain, Boogiepop, Gatekeepers 2021. Read or Die TV.

Can ya feel me?

@Mollord I can see the adrenaline fulled from the fear and the intense situation he was in pushing himself through like nothing. Something most finales, like in thriller and horror films, show as the last chance for escape.

I agree with the reactions from the other characters. All of a sudden the characters just go apeshit when before they didn't seem to mind the curse all that much in the beginning. I'm sure you know who I'm referring to when I mention one character who just goes mental for no reason that I can gather. That part kind of scared me a bit! (not really)

I agree. That's all I'll say, I agree.

Although, one thing I wasn't too ...uh, "pumped" for was that it felt like the show was just throwing dead bodies around of characters I didn't know or were properly introduced. At the start, I thought it would be like every ending of the show will axe one character that was vital or important in some way til the big reveal, but unless I was slow to catch on it felt like I was seeing actual background students getting whacked while the main characters had tea and shit.

On the other hand, I kind of liked that they also didn't linger and mourn for those characters being dead either. They even had time to go to the beach!

Isn't there an OVA planned or something?

2 years, 4 months ago on Is Hatsune Miku more 'authentic' than Lana Del Ray? | Japanator.com: anime news, original features, and weird stories from Japan, updated daily!

Music used with Miku is made by hundreds of artists and people create their image for Miku, there is a connection there that Lana and other artist who aren't used as volcaloids can't have with their audience. (Unless you get into something like Rockband, but you're not really creating music here either.)

Also, if all the music using this volcaloid tool sucked it wouldn't have build the audience and communities has now. It would get a bad rap and lose it's influence.

Using notable icons that aren't a new artist like Lana would make a more clear comparison if you're looking deeper outside the music, like Sid Vicious or someone that a group/generation could identify with. I'm not sure who.. or what, can identify with Lana Del Ray, and even thinking about it makes me sad :<

I'm starting to think there isn't really a curse in Another and that these kids keep dieing because they're dumbasses.

I also liked how they never run. Not from the fire, not from the two people holding weapons and with a crazed look in their eyes, not to help their friends who are obviously dieing, etc. Well, I guess it's a staple in the horror/suspense genre to have moments where you yell at the screen for reasons like this.

Everyone seems to be looking forward to this season, but there are only two shows that I am genuinely interested in. One being the big obvious one, and other being Nazono Kanojo X/Mysterious Girlfriend X. The manga was memorable, although I don't think I finished it.

Everything else... I'll catch on the rebound.

@Dick75  If the bad behavior is more on a technical level, like shoddy picture quality, then that would be a stronger leg to stand on. If people are going out of their way to see, say, for example Big Momma's House, they're gonna see it.

Lovers, haters, none of them are paying our bills, so don't worry about it.

I heard the manga is better, but after checking out a few episodes on Netflix... I kind of like it. Not much, but like the review mentions that the English dub actors being playful, on top of what I think is most amazing; introducing a character each episode with the same shtick.

"Tsukune, I hate you! ...But you're as lonely as I am. YOU'RE MINE!" I wanted the show to keep going with that while introducing new monsters, like Bigfoot, Swamp Thing, a robot, all that until Tsukune either kills himself or kills them. (also, that's another thing; the whole forbidden human thing feels like one big plot hole when there are numerous monsters around that can sniff out Tsukune, but whatever)

If the manga is better at being consistent I'll give it a look, but I'm having fun with the show at the expense of it being ridiculous. I think it's perfect for my friends on a do-nothing night and laugh at.

Their localization of the EO games definitely add to the feeling of adventure and fun. In the third game, one of the staff members mentioned they took some notes from "Rotten English: A Literary Anthology" when coming up with the speech patterns for the pink-haired barkeep. The item shop owner in the first game had a certain accent going for her, too, but it was distinct. Since the story in the games games just breeze through, this makes up for it and, at least to me, makes the experience all the more memorable.

Even their name for F.O.E. In Japanese, it stood for "Field-on Enemy", but Atlas USA changed it to "Formido Oppugnatura Exsequens" - hell yeah! I don't know what it means, but now I want to tear into their orange and fuzzy asses for sounding so tough!
