Coach P=Silent Assassin
Bio not provided
If Roquan still wants to go to UCLA and a brand new coach, after UCLA tried to defraud him into signing when they know the DC is already gone...there is literally nothing we could do. Kid just wanted to crap on UGA and leave the state. I hope he picks the good guys, but if not, I have trouble putting it on the coaches.

R. SMith is a great talent. I'm more interested in other unknowns we might get on though. These kinds of signing day hijinks rarely portend a succesful career.
@cblakey It's now world news.
@JHD=Keep ADGM @Coach P=Silent Assassin I would love it. Love Crowder.

I bet we add Hawkins and Choates as well. The low star rating haters will explode in rage.
@Bleudawg go gatah!
@Tree1 No disrespect to Douglas, who is a solid football player at the SEC level, but Crowder has significantly more ability.
@HeelDawg He should be a high upside three star.
I think he's a higher upside guy than Chris Carson. His receiving ability is intriguing.
@jddawg36 I think he has mediocre top end speed, but everything else looks quite promising. Wicked stiff arm. Po' man's Derrick Henry. We could do much worse.
@JHD=Keep ADGM @BryanDawg87 Don't matter who it is, someone actually wants to commit instead of leave us!!!!
Can't lose Slayton. Top 3 player in the class, with Trent and Ledbetter. Slayton is like a mini Calvin Johnson

@Tree1 @Coach P=Silent Assassin All about field speed. He's so fluid and quick footed he'll play faster than he times. I'm not saying he's a blazer, now, but he's fast enough to get vertical and threaten downfield, and with a guy that long with those kinds of ball skills, he doesn't need separation to create huge plays down field. He just wins contested jump ball situations.

@Tree1 @Coach P=Silent Assassin In fairness, I know nothing about the level of comp. Could be running by 5.0 flat guys.
@Tree1 @Coach P=Silent Assassin He's running by people on film, then has to wait for the ball. Low end burst is excellent for a 6'4'' wide out.
I'm just going to go ahead and say it. Health provided, Chatman will go down as one of the very best WR's in this year's class. The only guy I like more than him that we have committed is Slayton. Chatman has shades of A.J. Green in HS, and is criminally underrated, and I don't understand why we haven't seen more from him/heard more about him.
A.J. had three (edit: four, dur) characteristics that made him special:
1. Hands/ball skills.
3. The movement ability of a much smaller skill player.
4. Ridiculous after the catch ability.
IMO, Chatman has the first 3 in spades. He doesn't break tackles/make people miss like Green did, though. Really don't understand his rating.
@34Dawg @Coach P=Silent Assassin @therealdray @JHD=Keep ADGM Williamson is a no doubter. Of course, Choates is up there too. He has the movement skills of a big CB, and plays the run/hits like a bigtime SS. Good ball skills. Really good instincts and aggressiveness.

@ClassicCityDawg2010 @WalktheDawg Whisky Walton is a very good back.
@therealdray @JHD=Keep ADGM I wish we could fit Key AND Williamson onto that list.
@34Dawg Allen all day, IMO. You can't tell what kind of athlete Madden is. Allen is an excellent athlete.
@Socrates B.Kronas: Is For Sale Good news indeed.
@meatball Complacency...everything is cyclical. Teams rise and fall when the players start expecting success, and some of the drivers of the previous success--the truly special assistants and players, move on.

I do think there is some credence to the idea of a "bama bump". High 3 stars turn into 4 stars, and high 4's into 5's. That's the kind of thing that would create a team that should be by far the deepest and most talented in the country, and instead, they are just pretty good, solid top 10-5 level talent.
I don't know what Alabama does with the talent they allegedly get. Not saying they aren't talented, but no team that gets the number of 4-5 star players they do should look so pedestrian in terms of generating a pass rush, controlling the LOS, and level of DB play. OUR Db's look at least as talented as Alabama's. For whatever reason, kids aren't developing like many thought they would at Bama.
Just my opinion, but Juwan Briscoe has legit talent as a running back... Could be special. I know he's not as stout as the guys we typically go after, but he can really cut, has great balance and vision, runs with power for his size, and can make angles disappear. Demarco Murray lite?

@DawgInBham...aka...BOOM SQUAD We have a brighter future losing this game, that's for sure. Need more impact players on both lines of scrimmage.

Losing guys like Jefferson/Godwin/Chigbu/Slayton/Cleveland/Eason, etc, would be a borderline deathblow. Not saying it's going to happen, but there's a lot of crazy, negative talk being thrown around.

I am glad for Bobo, but feel like this absolutely kills UGA. Hopefully I'm just overreacting.
I think Slayton will be our best WR since Green. Most ridiculous combo of hands/body control/speed/burst we've had since.

@Socrates B. Kronas @JHD=Free Gurley @Coach P=Silent Assassin What's up yall?

Also, Gary McRae is a 5 star athlete. If we can just figure out where to put him, and let him focus on one thing, he will be an impact player.
So, I feel the need to drive by post: Our front 7 recruiting is ridiculous.
Thompson is who he is. Ledbetter has tape reminiscent of Geno Atkins, but with a bigger frame. Huggins is similar to Ledbetter. Mike Barnette has outstanding explosion and a huge frame, and plays with real violence. Chauncey Rivers reminds me a bit of Jordan Jenkins(not quite as talented, IMO, but similar style player), Natrez Patrick can play ILB/OLB and has a bit of Jarvis Jones in him. Anyone who has watched Key and Walker's Senior film knows that those are two super explosive athletes who try to destroy the guy they are tackling.
Roquan Smith has Derrick Brooks/John Vilma type potential. How big can he get, because he's going to be the most athletic linebacker on the roster, and possibly the SEC, the moment he steps on campus, and J. Taylor isn't far from him, from a physical tools perspective. Chuks Amaechi can pass rush, drop, and play the run, has length and good speed and explosion. Excellent all around player.
Any and all of those guys would be considered the crown jewels of most team's defensive classes, and our entire class if full of front 7 guys like that, or will be. I could literally see almost any of the guys I named being all americans in Athens. I think this is by far the best group of talent Richt has ever brought in, and I'm not even talking about the offensive side of the ball, which might have at least 3 future NFL oline, and 4-5 WR's who could play in the pro game as well, and a ready made SEC TE.
@Socrates B. Kronas: Chubb up the Volume @JHD=Free Gurley And hit!

@Bleudawg Style is almost identical. I think Todd had better power and more violence, though. But still, Todd Gurley lite is still a heck of a runningback!

@DawgInBham...aka...BOOM SQUAD Yeah, I think J. Rowe said 'swatch the situation carefully. Never looked at him until Jake said that.
@JHD=Free Gurley @Coach P=Silent Assassin I'm glad jhd!
@ClassicCityDawg2010 @DrTiki @Coach P=Silent Assassin The subject in that documentary bears a remarkable resemblance to the former governor of california. I bet he gets comments on the likeness constantly.
@JHD=Free Gurley @Coach P=Silent Assassin Yeah man. I found the Rocky Reid film and realized I didn't have anyone to share it with, and remembered FSF.
@DrTiki @Coach P=Silent Assassin Or more accurately, the wife did.
@DrTiki @Coach P=Silent Assassin Awesome! I had a baby!
Remind anyone of anybody? I like me some NC runningbacks...
@J.H.D I actually think he'd be outstanding there. He'll lose some coverage battles due to his height, but he'll win others with his burst and hands. I'm also not worried about Green tackling guys.

A little backstory on Davis. Gives credence to the idea that he has the goods to play in the SEC, but his injuries killed his recruitment.
@DrTiki Size/ability to play the run?

@Boi1der Taj is the most explosive athlete. I would take him.

@J.H.D ALready paving the way for JHC to join him at Auburn?

@Socrates B. Kronas @Mike_Brooks14I don't know that I was concerned, I just thought Colbert looked a little better on film. Thomas can run super fast, but can he consistently play fast? Staff seems to think so.

@J.H.D I think we'd need one more DT type in there. Huggins?
1 year ago on Conversation @ http://www.fieldstforum.com/c-c-c-2-16-14/
I'd take Walker/Key at OLB, Rivers and Austin Bryant at DE(with Rivers also being able to play OLB), Natrez Patrick and Adonis Thomas as guys who can play any lb position, and Roquan Smith and Colbert as ILB's.
@BPoin34 We really need to offer him. I like him more than Adonis, who I do like.
