Veldig bra artikkel Vidar. Jeg er helt enig med deg i alt du skriver.Etter min mening så er noe av det viktigste en leder gjør å være tydelig på at alle er ledere. Jeg har f.eks. veldig tro på egentid, til å gjøre det man elsker mest av alt som er relatert til jobben. Det er da man virkelig får ut det lille ekstra av kollegaene. Mye av det Google får til er på bakgrunn av egentid som de ansatte har. De ansatte jobber på egne prosjekt, og de aller fleste prosjektene blir det aldri noe av, men de det blir noe av blir som regel en suksess, og uansett om prosjektet blir noe av eller ikke, så gjør det noe med de ansatte. De har selv bestemt hva de skal jobbe på, og har veldig lyst til å gjøre det, og veldig tro på prosjektet. I Norge har jeg ikke sett mange eksempler på dette :)

Great story about customer service. And since I love animals, I truly understand how you feel. I would have been extremely happy in a situation like that.
It's different if you've had your car at the car dealer, and they check up on you how things are going with you and your car. I love that they do, and I know that they truly care about the cars and the customers, but when it gets personal like your story, it's on a whole different level.

Great stuff Ralph. This reminds me about the time I played basketball, even though it's on a different topic. It was probably the part about being mean that made me think of it. In the end, the coach did everything right and we won close to every game :)

Helt enig Rune. Jeg mener at vi bør gjøre en situasjonsanalyse hver måned, men det er jo tidkrevende så for mange så vil 6 måneder være mer realistisk. En ting er søkemotorene, en annen ting er døde lenker og "feil" som dukker opp av ulike årsaker.

I eat pizza several times a week @rdopping :) And I had an awesome pizza when I visited Copenhagen about a week ago.
I should probably do what you're doing. Now, I just do everything when it comes to email and social media in one batch, when I feel that I have the time. Or like now, when I'm waiting for a meeting :)

This is a wake up call for me Ralph. I absolutely agree about the importance of always responding, and I am that guy too. My problem, not being superman, is that for the past months, I have received a ton of email and messages on social media, and it's just so hard to keep up with it all. Just going through the emails and delete the ones that are not personal takes a lot of time. And I'm not going to hire an assistant :)
I've been thinking about working an extra hour a day just to be able to do everything like I used to do. Thanks a lot for the wake up call Ralph :)

I love to watch martial arts movies, but I have never tried martial arts myself. I've always wanted to, especially when I was a kid. I remember talking to a friend, when I was a teenager, and I thought martial arts was all about the fighting. He told me a story similar to what you're saying, and I just couldn't believe what he was saying. My question to him was WHY? I don't remember his answer, but since I've been wrestling a few years when I was a kid, I just couldn't understand why martial artis wasn't just all about the "fighting".
I believe that the same words apply to business, and especially when you're starting a new business (like I am doing). Patience, focus and confidence is something I think about every single day.

@rdopping my pleasure. I have been using it for a while, and I love it. On the other hand, I am also running several blogs for clients on Elegant Themes and that works really good as well. And it's a lot cheaper :)

@ExtremelyAvg I haven't noticed the premium service. I'll have to take a closer look, even though I'm not a super blogger :)
I have been dealing with feedblitz vs feedburner, and I am now 100% genesis on my blogs as well. I am not technical at all, but I understand that as a blogger we need to have some sort of technical skills. So, I say go with Genesis, you won't be sorry :)

I have been using Triberr for a while and I'm very satisfied with everything, and it's hard to believe that it's actually free. I highly agree with you, Triberr is awesome :)
I love to dream, I do that all the time. And that's also why I ended up writing a novel. I believe that dreaming is very important, and that it helps us relax, but at the same time dreaming can help us become creative. By the way, I looked at your thoughts on the garden and the picture and it reminds me that when I'm most relaxed I'm inside my green house doing some work with the plants. I love the smell, and just watching things grow.

@rdopping I've been doing a lot of things lately, but one thing that I'm really struggling with is to understand business and getting paid what I'm worth. I love to work and I'm doing my best to help my clients, but it's so hard to ask for money :)
