@cmajaski @moondustwriter @DanielIeBishop I agree that this post isn't meant for all bloggers making money, BUT, I take offense that Leslie is "disgusted" that we are making money. She hasn't read every mom blogger and while some don't have amazing writing abilities, they may have other skills that makes what they do worth money to companies that pay them. Are there crappy bloggers in every niche? Heck yea! Leslie, bring a writer, should have put more thought into the words she used, because I think she was rude!
@moondustwriter I'm sorry you feel that way. I suppose I should get out of the tribe with Bruce Sallan if what I do disgusts you so much. I feel that what I do is valuable and as a single mom I try to find ways to make working outside the home part time less of a burden by making money at home.
Hooray, I make money blogging! But dang it, getting a "free" Kayak and giving one away doesn't rate high because I do giveaways. For me, it's been a process of learning the ropes and finding the right ones to grab on to. Finding a balance in blogging about "personal" stuff as a blogger will become more important to me as I move out of state and friends keep up with me. I'll be glad to do less r&gs, but I have to say, I do like getting paid good $ for what I do on my blog. =)

I'm getting my boys back into their sleep schedule this week. Today we finish shopping for supplies and it's open house at both schools. Yesterday we stopped by the elementary to look at the class list and my youngest is excited about who will be in his class! Can't believe school starts on Monday. Where did summer vacation go?

Been there, done that, have a 2nd twitter account for this very reason. Twitter jail is a pain in my hind end! I've been put in Twitter jail from 15 minutes to almost an hour and a half. It's never been overnight, but that's not the point. I've never, that I know of, hit my 1000 tweets in a day limit. That would take 10 twitter parties that I end up in jail in each time to reach that limit if I'm understanding that correctly.
lol Oh my gosh, this is just the BEGINNING of your adventure, Matt!! It doesn't have to be dull and boring. The fun certainly doesn't have to end. You adjust and figure it out as you go. You just get to add the baby to the excitement!!

Well, as a mom, the experience is mind blowing. Wait until the baby is bigger and you can see Annie's stomach actually rolling. Words can't describe it. I can't wait to read THAT post! lol
This is EXACTLY what blogging is about! We follow you guys because we're along for the ride with you. I've never heard of the blood test replacing the amnio, but that's awesome since it's less invasive to the baby!! Can't wait to hear how it went.
Your day will come Matt and you're going to love it so much. Reading to the baby is something you can do. Just him hearing your voice helps him bond with you. As he gets older, don't be surprised if he moves at the sound of your voice. =) Annie, you're looking awesome!!
