College football is the nfl minor league, buts it faaaar from being only that. The vast majority of college football players leave with a degree and teamwork skills to succeed in life. Even at bigtime programs.

I like nuclear fusion man. The world could use more like him.

@RedBlackDawg Oh I understand the move. I also understand it's out of necessity. We don't have enough bodies at CB. So we are borrowing from Peter to pay Paul. I'm not really upset at the coaches making this move. I'm upset that they have to make this move.

@AtomicDawg No, Drew's call stood. It was Wilson's call in the 4th that was overtruned, but it was a 4th down play for Vandy so it gave them the 15 yards anyways. If this rule change was in place last year, we probably beat Vandy.

Meh....I mean this is nice. But we still had some bad calls against us last year that were NOT overturned, when they dang well should of been. But at least it's a step in the right direction.
Let me clarify, under recruiting is only part of the problem. We also tend to kick out players more so then other schools. And this heavy attrition and suspension policies that we keep around at UGA are really handicapping us on the field. Whether or not we like it.

@Sanford222view @DawgByte And that's the big story. We are a little quick to kick off players in the name of "doing the right thing". And we just happened to take a lot of hits at CB. Now some of those players deserved to be kicked off IMO....but some did not, also IMO. But I have come to think of UGA as a zealous program when compared to our piers. Frankly, I'm kind of sick of it, but that's another topic. We've taken some heavy hits in our attrition numbers at CB. It's very similar to when we took heavy losses at RB a few years ago, right before Gurley and Marshall came to town. And guess how good UGA football was before they should up? Yeh....this kind of depresses me.

No no no no no. I heard this may be a possibility.... I'm usually a pretty big supporter of our coaches. But their ability to under recruit in certain areas and leave us too shallow really bugs me. Then they start matching making with the players in order to fill said hole and usually wind up screwing them up. JJ wasn't our biggest back, but he had great vision and great quickness to get in the hole and get some positive yards. I simply think this is a mistake....and it tells me we wont be any improved at the corner position. This one move dampens my excitement for next year.
@ecdawg @RxDawg Exactly :)

Niel Young is one of those classics that just never... well I just never got. He's just in that "meh" category for me. That said, there have been people in that "meh" category that I grew to absolutely love. But to each his own.

@EdThomas Actually which one is worse historically has been debatable. But it's always been pretty dang hard to get arrested as a football player in Knoxville.

I duno know whether to be fuming, or envious of what the vols are doing. Frankly, if the deed isn't malevolent in its nature i tend to lean on the side of leave the law out of it. And drinking beer or smoking pot in college is pretty far from that category. In our zealotry at UGA though, we just have to prosecute any and every player we've got for anything we can... I know its a slippery slope in letting things slide but I'm sick of kicking off college football players for things that college students do.
Ouch on Murray's scouting report....

They could probably make a Godzilla movie every year, and I watch every single one of them =D

Dig todays music. Good stuff.
@CharlestowneDawg Prince is amazing. I agree with you in that I was never a huge fan of his music, but I completely recognize that he's got more talent in his thumbnail then I'll ever have. He's that kind of "idiot savant" that musicians, GREAT musicians just have to be.

" but how much would it be worth for a fan to be able to have unrestricted access to their schools past and be able to sit down and relive the current season"
Maybe it's just me, but the whole excitement of sports is that you just have no idea what is going to happen next. Watching old games has never been that appealing to me. Maybe when they were really big historic games.
The only time I do watch a replay is when its the recording of a game that I actually attended. But perhaps others would really like that.
For what it's worth, I like the old video settings. I liked being able to sorta see what the video was going to be before clicking. That way on my busy days I could skip certain things.

Fat Albert taking off was pretty cool. Now I'm no aero space engineer, but the fact that the rear wing was smoking afterwards would leave me slightly concerned.

I'm actually surprised to see some of the old players reactions to this. And I'm glad to see it. They aren't trashing JHC, but they aren't making excuses either. He made his bed.
