Seriously stoked to be back on your show, Mark, and to talk about something that I feel so strongly about - so thanks for giving me the space and the stage! You are the best. And you do have the best listeners. I have loved connecting with them in the past!

@RosieA Hi Rosie, sorry for late reply - we were 'remodeling prolific juicing' how do you like the new look? I am SO HAPPY to hear your results, Rosie, you are doing fabulous! And yes you can absolutely do a modified fast - that's totally fine and very smart of you to listen to your body. I also like how you thicken your juice - that's brilliant, I never tried that. Great work and keep it up Rosie.

@RosieA Hi Rosie, fasting is not a big deal. Don't worry. The point is to get the benefits of juicing so if you are juicing regularly, you are already doing fabulous. Glad the videos were helpful :)! And very happy to have you in the clinic too.

@RosieA Hi Rosie, that's so wonderful you've come very far.... It's okay not to like some of the recipes, it really is :) And you can start modifying to your own taste buds.... Are you trying to fast on juices now? You can drink more of the green juices to keep you fuller or just have a light meal afterwards. So glad to have you here too, Rosie.
@Vidya Sury @Ellen Berg @Farnoosh Divine paradise. I only wish we could create that in reality. Imagination has to do for now. Vidya, I'll eat anything & everything you bring :)!

@Ellen Berg Ellen, I can't imagine just how hard that must be but from all our recent chats, one thing I know is you are truly finding yourself and trusting that you are more than enough just as you are. Period. :)
@Ellen Berg @Vidya Sury @Farnoosh That works out just fine by me, Ellen. Can we be there to watch them play? ;)!

@SarahB Modify baby modify! These recipes are suggestions at best and while they do yield what I think is delicious and has certain nutritional values, most important is that YOU love what you make .... I love to hear that you are now getting the hang of this, Sarah!!! So happy about it :)!
1 year, 10 months ago on Juicing Enthusiasts Mingle Space
@SarahB Sarah, I can imagine the dessert is hard on the type of fruits you get. Darling, forget the pineapple. So many other things to replace: pear, strawberries, apples, kiwi, go with what you have! Any of those out there?? Hope so!
@SarahB Hmmm. Well, more yellow than green on the outside and nothing that has too many soft spots. I also try to get smaller pineapple as they generally come in very big sizes but honestly best way maybe to ask the produce manager, especially at places like whole foods and farmer's markets, they get a kick out of helping you and they know their produce best. HOPE THIS HELPS, Sarah!!!!
@bavarianami Thanks for sharing Rick - I am sure this is helpful to @SarahB and I am glad to hear your stomach issues cleared up after juicing!!!
@SarahB PS: Read Rick's response above when you come back here - he shares his experience too!
@SarahB I am so very sorry to hear about your experience, Sarah, please don't get disheartened.... Go EASY on ginger and a friend of mine who doesn't like citrus uses tomato-based juices - tomato having less acid than other citrus. You can also use apple/carrot based and skip lemons? Beet is delicious too! Check out recipes with carrot/beet/tomato in that order and skip all citrus for now and EASY on ginger!
@SarahB Sounds delicious!! And I love your fiber idea with yogurt, Sarah! Spinach has a lot of airy volume - it's not dense like carrots or even like kale! I am glad it was yummy though ;)
@SarahB Great question, Sarah. Empty stomach - or relatively empty - would be best so for breakfast or if it's been at least 2 hours since your last meal. If you had a snack or something that should be fine but again, for BEST results. Evening is a great time to juice too and after exercise is even better.... hope this helps!
@bavarianami Thanks again for the recipe, Rick! How are you doing? Are you still juicing or are the holidays a bit too much? I hope the new year brings you lots of juicy goodness :)! Check out the new recipes I am adding here and juice on!

@vuzzard Hi again, yeah well this stuff is important - no need to wait when a great comment comes in! That's good to know about the Champion, it's one of the models I haven't yet worked with. And with the Omega and the Breville and my Green Star, I have to say I have NEVER run anything through the juicer a SECOND time! That's absurd. Would it not need to be efficient the first time around? The Breville was terrible - it would leave the pulp dripping wet but the Omega was much better and the Green Star, the pulp that comes out the first time is this unrecognizable dust-dry stuff that hasn't any juice in it whatsoever. All in one pass for sure! :)
1 year, 11 months ago on Unboxing the Green Star Elite Juicer
@vuzzard It's not that bad after you get used to it but it's great to hear you like the Champion. There are many great brands out there. I had to try the Green Star. It has the driest pulp of my 3 juicers, so it works hard to squeeze everything out!
@bavarianami This is the highest reward for me, Rick. It wasn't easy to put this together but deep down, I believe in this clinic and in what I can offer. We are beyond delighted to have your wonderful spirit in the clinic and in the Facebook page, don't disappear. Come back and let's talk juicing and stay healthy and reverse the signs of aging gracefully with natural fruits & vegetables. Thanks for your fabulous comments here. They are heart-warming!

@bavarianami Hi Rick, you made it to the very end..... I saw your comments on Day 20 & 21 and am beyond impressed. Thank you so much even though it's way too much credit you are bestowing upon me and I graciously accept it. I am just so thrilled that this worked out so well for you. It's definitely a habit for life for you - I can see it clearly, Rick. Quite proud of you!

@CiaraConlon Dear Ciara, thank you for admitting how you feel about the gym - me too! Argh! I did find a cycling/yoga studio that I frequented for a while but it wasn't sustainable. I was doing too much cycling... although I loved it.... but I do love cycling so I hear you. However, whatever you do, make sure to do your due diligence on *** stretching and flexibility**** either with my program or with something else. Keeps you young and beautiful :)!

@bavarianami Rick, I know all about how holidays can throw us off but if you are back into it with a few short days, you are golden. This is the hardest part of building a habit. Bravo! And it looks like you like the bok choy too. I am not crazy crazy about it but @DanielHayes loved it as well as many others in the clinic. Glad the juicer is making the rounds, it'll land in a good home, don't worry and Juice On!

@bavarianami You are retiring in a month? That's very exciting. And to start your own veggie high bed and to go back to golf. I am excited for you Rick and I hope that prosperity and health keeps coming your way, dear friend. Sending your wife lots of healing thoughts.... You are one of my Rock Star Juicers, that's for sure!
2 years ago on Day 14: Good Habits Push Out the Bad
@bavarianami We had persimmons in Iran so I know it well but man, I wouldn't juice that Rick. Did you? As for the difference, the Omega juice is of course less foamy but also more delicious - the taste IS more intense, well-said. I feel like the Breville just gushes out the juice whereas the Omega is gentler with the juice. It's almost a happier juice if that makes sense? ;)!!!

@bavarianami Hello Rick, I just love the self-exploration and self-discovery that you are experiencing with green juicing. I want to scream with joy because this is what I am talking about - it's more than the recipes, and more than the juice! I am glad that you are shocking your own self with this amazing new habit, keep it up. The longer you do it, the cleaner and happier your body will become. So happy you found me through juicing, it's been a joy sharing in your success.

@bavarianami I bet you were fast and efficient, Rick. I am so so impressed you are taking your juices to work!! That's wonderful. And that juice sounds like a hard-core green juice. Under 10 minutes is still stellar, I would say. I have to time myself for the Green Star now :)! Proud of you, Rick and see you on Day 14!

Cheryl is so adorable getting you to like beets ;))! Yes, beets in small quantities at first and mix it well. Follow her advice to a T. Can't go wrong. Juice on!

@tytbody @bavarianami Her Green Silk is something else ;) Cheryl is quite good with coming up with creative recipe and to think she worried about this at the start ... Pish posh - she is a pro juicer! :)
@bavarianami My pleasure - you have an amazing story Rick! :) Feel free to share that video with your friends and family and it might just inspire others too... in fact, I owe a huge thanks to your niece (was it?) who sent you to the juicing world!
@bavarianami Thank you Rick..... we had fun with these. It seems you are getting beautiful beautiful vegetables and getting everyone over there to work hard to get them to you ;))!!!! Enjoy your juicing and keep that routine under control so it doesn't get overwhelming :)!
@sarahbythebay Been 6 months since this comment and I was here and thought I'd check on you Sarah!! Did you ever make the smoothie with the Omega/ I never have used it as a smoothie maker :)! Hope you are still juicing!
@bavarianami Rick, Happy Veteran's Day! And thank you a million times for such great encouragement and sharing your story - I am just so very happy that this is working out for you, and having you in the clinic has been amazing just amazing. I continue to keep your wife Karin in my thoughts and hope you continue this journey well into 2013 and beyond.... you CAN reverse some aging with juicing and persistence is a great habit and a great force to reckoned with :)!
I think you are slowly getting ready to go up on our Juicers Hall of Fame, what do you say? I'd love to showcase this amazing testimonial you have here and just need you to answer the short questions that you see here: http://prolificjuicing.com/blog/hall-of-fame/

@Michelle Braun Michelle, you gotta get your hands on some fennel. It's delicious :) It's actually an herb!! :)
2 years ago on The Juicing Recipes Corner
@tytbody @bavarianami Oh dear :( I don't do peppers anymore Cheryl. I just don't care for them but a red pepper is brave. Sorry! I had to throw away an entire large jug of beautiful juice because I juiced the one unjuicable disgusting-tasting item: RADDISH! Stay away from them. Never juice them. Cranberries: yes the fresh ones in a bag and I know people rave about it but I am not crazy about cranberries at all. LOVE Fennel in moderation - it's an herb so use it as such AND love love love pomegranate. Can't wait to juice another one. I had one just straight up by itself. IT was Powerful and pink and delicious!

@tytbody @bavarianami Yeah, Rick bought a Greenstar too!!
@bavarianami Ah yes, we have a small election going on here! ;) And that's quite the drink to celebrate election day in America.... You are ON TOP OF THIS juicing business, Rick, I hope you are planning to stay up late. It's a close race :)!
@tytbody @Farnoosh Cheryl, my dear, you are wise and witty as ever - well-said- No perfect juicer .... everyone's needs are different. I have not heard of the LeQuip brand so I will check it out and will surely let you know how things go with the Greenstar. I hear you loud and clear on the pros and the cons. Love your sense of humor too - you've been missed, glad to hear you are still juicing :)!

@sraney Susan, you are so kind to notice - especially since a LOT of thought goes into "What do I wear to this video!!!" followed by a healthy level of panic ;))!
@Vidya Sury Too sweet, too kind! I was like a child at Xmas, I swear! I am so crazy about juicing and juicers, Vidya. And so very happy you too are juicing.... YES it's much better already but only tried it once. Hope to come back with a much more comprehensive and comparative report soon so stay tuned ...love back at you!
