@Sidonie What a great list! I of course remember the "Hungry Caterpillar" from my own childhood.
If I get the chance to visit Massachusetts, I'll make sure to visit the museum. Thank you for telling me about it.
My latest conversation: How to Find Inspiration
@itsjessicann I'm glad you enjoyed it! I think I was feeling extra snarky when I wrote it. ;)
@NancyD68 I think of that as recalibrating. We have to take an outside look at our work and see if it's actually doing what we intended or if we discovered what we actually were supposed to be doing in the midst of a seeming tangent. It's hard to be that brutal with ourselves, but it's necessary for growth.

I wish I knew someone who worked in more of the 3D style. I'll let you know if I come across anyone.
@TomWillis Haha! I bet.
My dad wrestled when he was in high school, so we wrestled with him until one of us kids inevitably got hurt. We always returned for more. I guess we were gluttons for punishment.
My latest conversation: Passion Drives Nothing
@KDillabough I think there's a reason passion is compared to fire - it can go out of control or die a quick death if not tended to.
Certainly! I'm happy to link back to people.
@TomWillis Oh, Calvin and Hobbes counts. We don't discriminate against comics.
My mom hid one Dr. Seuss book because it made her jaw hurt to read it. My brothers and I, of course, always managed to find it...

@girlseeksplace I don't think I know any of those with the exception of The Polar Express. It looks like I have some research to do.

@KristinZas Shel Silverstein? Love. I have a copy of Runny Babbit on my shelf.
Good Night Moon is good, too. I kind of wish I'd put it on my list, but I had to keep a list of five...
My latest conversation: Passion Drives Nothing
@KenMueller I think Love You Forever is one of my favorites because my mom wrote a note in it. That perhaps makes it a keepsake.
I don't actually remember reading Where the Wild Things Are, which seems like a weird oversight.
My latest conversation: Passion Drives Nothing
@MZazeela I didn't intend to oversimplify matters. I merely was wondering if our time might be better spent focusing on how to be better at what we do rather than worrying about whether we're extroverts or introverts or whether we have the right personalities or qualities.
Thank you for stopping by the site and leaving a comment.
@rdopping I probably used some creative license. I think our conversation spilled over into Twitter, but that made the story entirely too long. :)
I've visited with Kaarina now and again, particularly when I was first thinking through Write Right. The business has transformed since that initial talk, but she played a role in getting me to think about how the business would work.
Other than that, I've had a few mentors, and I have a couple of friends who help me think through ideas. Most recently, some of them are helping me with the development of my book/portfolio.
My latest conversation: Write Right Meets Aslan
@ExtremelyAvg That's funny! I find I write faster when I use a pencil and paper. I think so anyway. It really just depends on what I'm writing. That often determines the tool.

@TomWillis @John_Trader1 Your statement is made all the funnier because of a conversation I was just having with John about how people shouldn't tell me about their projects - I inevitably pester people about them.
My latest conversation: Write Right Meets Aslan
@John_Trader1 Indeed. Accountability is something that's important to me, but you probably figured that out based on the post.
Funny how those kinds of words come up when I'm around. :)

@timbo19731 I've tried and tried to make Evernote part of my process, but I find myself fighting with the tool. I think the idea is to find the tools that help us to be more productive and to get in the right mindset.
@elmingy You and I have a similar mindset when it comes to writing things down then. I find it helps me to exert some control (even if only imagined) over the chaos.
I have a Pilot Pen that I absolutely adore. My brother tried to steal it from me, and I told him I'd buy him one before I'd let him take mine.
