Agree with you here Ken: definitely. However, one thing I've come around to is reducing the number of social link icons on client sites as well as my own. We've been tracking a lot of data and the links have a tendency to send people away. It's like that's the sole engagement they take. From a business point of view we need to be getting people deeper into the sales funnel. Signing up to email lists, filling out forms, requests for contact. That's how a site really starts to work.

It's all well and good to get people to the site but it's actually getting them to take the key actions. These are the strategies we need to work hardest with if a site is going to be a really important part of marketing collateral.

I am so with you on this one Jayme. Jenn is awesome, and one of the most beautiful folks in our community. I first discovered Jenn when getting to know you and you guys have become a really important part in my journey both online and as a thinker. I don't think I would have written my own Happy post for you if it hadn't been the candour in which Jenn showed, sharing her own journey.

Love you guys.

Super difficult ! I would say, having read it, that you should definitely not underprice it because this is incredibly valuable info. It's not like a fiction book: it's a book that will help companies' bottom line.

But also see that it could be a spring broad to you actually helping someone with this service. So don't make too much of a barrier to purchase.

@WesleyWiley Good to hear it! I personally find that the Friday show is always the one that does best in terms of traffic and engagement. Using Stitcher's stats I can see that not as many people listen all the way through Mon-Th, but Friday-Sun it's a much better rate. Probably listening whilst they cut the grass :=9

I think it really comes down to writing itself. Crafting your way with words, whether you're a novelist, a blogger, or a journo, makes you a writer. You're striving to put a word after a word and a word. And that's power.

All writing is power. And bloggers are powerful!

Hey Dustin, Yes! I have a stand up desk. They're very popular here in Sweden because IKEA do a great range of them available over here. I got one to help with my back last December and it's made a huge difference to my bac kand posture. I also feel more energetic. I didn't build up my strength or anything. Just started standing all day from the first day I got it. Sure, I eat lunch sitting down but whenever I'm in the office I'm standing. One tip is to get a gel mat to stand on. It helps.

It also plays really nicely with the Premise plugin which is great for landing pages because you can marry it with Google Analytics experiments to test what converts better.

@AnnHawkins  @Danny Brown Part of the reason I love Twitter is the immediacy of it all. My heart sank when I started hearing all this SEO benefits about G+ recently.

For me the bottom line is engagement and building relationships. RIght now it works on Twitter and through talking to people on my podcast.

@AnnHawkins  @Soulati | B2B Social Media Marketing Awesome comment Ann. I agree there's no one best platform for any aspect of digital marketing / communications. I think you have to identify your goals and then look at the tactics / channels you can use. And then evaluate, of course and reposition if necessary. I dropped Facebook after a year for my business because it didn't feel right. I've found Twitter and podcasting to work best for me.

I think this is an interesting and timely post Jayme, not in part because I've been sucked into various discussions on G+ in the last few days.

My question to you though is in what way do you see G+ of value to companies, as the title of your post suggest. Do you see it having something more than LinkedIn or Twitter ?

1 year, 7 months ago on 10 Reasons Why Google+ Rocks For Companies

@Danny Brown This is one of the things getting me interested in the possibilities actually. Quite a lot of podcasting talk going on there. I got more discussion after sharing a blog post on G+ than on Twitter or my site.

@jennwhinnem I second that emotion Jenn. I find that even combining accounts is super buggy. In the end I settled on using different browsers for different accounts. Lame, I know.

I've not really got into G+ yet but I'm beginning to see more and more conversations going on there that interest me. But what business value these have, I am not sure.

Fascinating ! We only got our first Apple store with a Genius bar here in Sweden last year. Actually, at my local mall. It amazes me how this inspires people to come from all over the region to buy Apple from this particular store. Hitherto it's always been smaller retail stores or in the big chains.

I don't know how it would work with BMW here. Audi is the premium German brand that's most visible in the market. At least now I have an excuse to go and check on the BMW showrooms !
