@motoridersd the weather has been AMAZING lately. It's 80 and sunny right now! San Francisco doesn't really know what to do with weather this warm but we're pulling out our tank tops and short shorts :D

Thanks for the compliments. Was happy the photos came out so nicely. I used my Nikon D700 and Nikon 24-70 f2.8 this time around. Normally I shoot everything at 50mm. This flexibility allowed me to get a lot of shots I'd otherwise miss.

@jackhutton This was a 5 exposure stack -3, -2, 0, +2, +3 using a static ISO/Aperture and changing the shutter speed. I then processed it through Photomatix to make the HDR image. Honestly I'd never make a photo like this ever again. It was a period of time in my life where fantasy was the name of the game. These days I'm much more literal with my art. But I'm glad you (and really a lot of other people) appreciate this photo and the others I made during that period of my life.

@jackhutton Looking at this image on my Retina screen makes me wince. I need to reprocess this image at a higher resolution haha.

@jackhutton thanks! Topaz Adjust is a Photoshop plugin that creates a higher dynamic range image from a single exposure, as opposed to shooting three or more exposures. This was shot in 2008 so I think it was shot with my Nikon D700. I've never actually owned a Canon camera, though I've used the Canon 5D MKII and Canon 7D a good bit, mostly so I could help others with it and have a better understanding of how the other half lives haha.

@joanojr Never said it needed saving. I am simply asking the question of what will happen to the music industry, as we know it, if streaming continues to take people like me away from buying albums in favor of streaming them, at a SIGNIFICANTLY lower cost than purchasing the albums. How will this change the way artists put out their music?

No one here has said they (the music industry) need saving. I don't think they do, I think this is the nature of things, I was more curious what other people thought and whether I was unique in my music shopping as curbed by streaming.

@NickGilham I haven't yet made a real effort to network while here but I can see how there is great opportunity for that. There are so many people starting and running their businesses out of here. Looking forward to stepping out and getting to know my co-workers better.

What is the proper terminology for co-working co-workers? Coco-workers? :-P

@richmackey Exactly. For our last event we had 23 people say "Going" and 9 people say "Maybe". 3 of the 9 showed up. In addition, almost 10 other people were brought as guests. It was fine, everything worked out.

However, the invitation was setup to allow guests to invite a "Plus 1" and add them to the list yet only one person did. That's another level of event RSVP etiquette that seems to be lost these days.

@AaronBailey and your business seems to keep on growing! Right now I'm happy just having the extra time in the day to do things like write here (which does make me a tiny bit of money). I'm hoping to meet someone who can partner with me and grow out the business. There are so many other people out here like me, we just need to find each other! Tentative Skype date about this with  soon. :D

@jackhutton Thanks! If you do get the Retina MacBook Pro I really do recommend the Kuzy hardshell case. They make these things so thin that even the tiniest dent could mean a cracked logic board or display. I noticed a dent on the bottom of my rMBP which is what was the impetuous for me buy the Kuzy.

Also, the ghosting issue seems to only affect some people so hopefully you'll be problem-free! I didn't start having the problem until I'd had the laptop for six months.

@DJ_Z Me too. I imagine some DJ software companies could do something truly awesome with this. A totally new way to interact with music and the energy of a crowd in real-time.

@meghankrane It's definitely portable and durable. Another favorite of mine is the Nuance Wine Finer Aerator Pourer and Stopper. It slides into the bottle which makes pouring a one-handed event instead of two hands with the HOST or Vinturi type aerators. Also it has a wine finer to catch the fine particles and a strainer to catch the larger pieces (like cork).

If portability and durability are really important, this guy is probably the most portable and durable of any wine aerator I've ever used. Rubber-wrapped stainless steel just doesn't break all that easily :D

@foureyedcub Yeah, not sure how it happened but the video embed I used now changes by the day/week depending on the channel's updates. Weird. Noticed the other day but just been too busy to fix, maybe tomorrow.

@BrianRodgers Interesting that making that change fixed the problem. Glad it did though and glad others might find the fix here! At the very least going all-digital should improve sound quality if not just a tiny bit.
