The Chargers got fucked at the end. The td should not have been overturned. The officials fucked the placement of the ball. What else can the NFL do to prevent them from winning?

It's clear the coaches have no faith in Ryno near the goal line at the end of the game. I dont care how well he plays this year, the Chargers will look for another rb after this season.

I'm still stewing about Cox. Waste of $20 mil.

The NFL is tough. Any team can win any weekend. Traveling east to play is very tough. I personally don't feel the Chargers have the horses to make the playoffs. I feel 8-8 or 9-7 would be a good season for this team. We're halfway through the year so I won't judge McCoy yet. I do like the overall direction they're going in. As frustrating as this game was, it's not unexpected.

Washington assholes coming up. I'll just say this once.... anyone who thinks redskins is not a fucking slander against an entire race of people is the biggest shithole and deserves to ..... own an nfl team I guess. That's America these days.

Nice to see the Youtube videos Ross. You covered a lot of ground. The bobblehead was a nice touch with Halloween around the corner.

Nice win today. It's one they should have had. It shouldn't have been too difficult. And it wasn't.  It's just stupid how many injuries the o-line has. How long can Dunlap play? He might be done for the year before too long. Fluker at LT? hmmm

RM could rush for 1500 more yards this year and I will not be convinced. He will break your faith in him again soon enough. Same with Fast Eddie Royal. As Boltrunner says, kudos to McCoy for what he's done with this offense. I love his philosophy of fitting the system to the players talents. Which was the complete opposite of Norver.

And I saw a comment on a SDUT story about how it must have been McCoy lighting a fire under Pagano's ass to get more creative with the pressure. That's probably true. Well deserved bye, Bolts.

You bring up good points @boltrunner. I think the o-line has done probably above adequate in protecting PR. Also, props to McCoy for putting in a plan that keep Rivers upright especially with so many re-treads and young guys. I agree that Telesco should go o-line first in next couple drafts. Or I would say --- the top six picks they get in 2014-16 coming in the first two rounds ---  3 picks should be oline. You have to further keep in mind that Hardwick can't play forever so they must draft his replacement soon.

For RB, they should be able to pick up someone serviceable in the first 3 rounds. Mathews is gone after this year.  They might even be able to pick up a free agent for a year that can handle 200 carries.

Did you read the story about Liuget finally coming on? Jeez they've been h-o-r-r-i-b-l-e. Is Cam Thomas really even playing? They should be looking for Jamal Williams' phone number.

Anyway, let's see what the Colts bring today.

I just read Acee's story about the Spanos'. Isn't it funny how hated they are in San Diego. I was just thinking the other day about how pissed off Chargers fans are.  I mean, do we really think they are a good team? If we expected them to be a playoff-caliber team (which history shows us they aren't) then we would be justified in their poor start to this season.  Maybe they are legitimately a bad team going through a rebuilding phase now.

One thing I will say in defense of the new coach is that division games are tough. Teams often acquire personnel just to better match up with their rivals. However, it was plain stupid they could not control Pryor. They had been through this with Vick but played much better.

Their run game is wickedly bad and is a true detriment to this team. Their defense seems to suck just as bad. They have very few playmakers on D.  They cannot even stop the run. Teams regularly face 2nd and 5 after running on first down. That's unacceptable.

I think their only chance is to do what they did in Philly: go no-huddle, control the clock, throw the ball 75% of the time. Maybe they should just cut their losses on Matthews already. Seeing him and English on this team makes me sick.

1 year, 2 months ago on Something In The Night

This was just the worst fucking game to sit through.

IMO, the two biggest flaws in this team are that it cant run the ball nor can it stop the run.

That is a recipe for a losing record. Their d-line has been a huge disappointment.

And Eddie Royal can go to hell.

Being a football fan is tough because there is just one game all week that we wait for during all those stupid hours at our work place. And then the Chargers fuck it up in some idiotic fashion.

I don't know how this team can win another game with a defense this bad. I mean, who can they beat? They only beat Philly because they kept the ball out of Vick's hands most of the day. Maybe the Chargers have to continuously control the ball by +10 minutes a game just to have a chance....

Good point about the offensive line. They've done a good job there especially in pass protection -- their running game sucks IMO. I like what McCoy has done with the O and he has definitely put Rivers in a comfort zone. Canepa the Greek, Posner and Acee all teabagged McCoy for trying to run the ball while they were ahead last week but c'mon, if they can't run the ball with a lead, what business do they have playing this game?

I also think the UT scribes are pinning the past shortcummings of Marty and Norv on McCoy. MM is his own guy and should be respected and called out based on that. They've 1-2 but they're been in every game and could just as easy be 3-0. If Telesco can bring in some players, they should be successful. It's hard to see that happening this year tho.

It really is shocking how poorly the defense is playing. We could probably get a bunch of us JICers together and put up 300 yards on those bums. The pass defense is atrocious but the run defense -- what the fuck?! I thought they were supposed to be young studs.

Our own running game sucks krokodil balls too.

Now for the offense. All the Chargers can do for Mathews at this point is to showcase him for a trade. The (arabic) handwriting is on the wall for him.

I like what McCoy is doing for the offense. The line they had in at the end of the game was ridiculous but PR has been brilliant. I liked his 3rd down run call that Brown scored on. I liked the pitchout call to Mathews that got the first down.

All I know is that if Norver was still here, he'd be Jesse Pinkman: BITCH! What the fuck can I do with no fuckin o-line. BITCH

I do appreciate them "trying" to generate more pressure in the 2nd half. But as bad as their pass d was, their run d sucked schweddy balls too. I swear Tom Bass had been called back to coach the d.

I know a lot of folks junk on PR especially in the 4th qtr (like Acee did today). But he is the man IMO. We live or die by him. I remember people used to pick on Fouts when he couldn't single-handedly carry the team but now he is like a martyr. I think PR is the same. I can't criticize him. Part of the problem he has might have to do with trying to hard and caring too much. He's never been a fuckwad like Rapelisberger. He is a Charger through-and-through. I will go down with him.

If the Chargers feel they need to make a switch, cut him in the offseason and draft a rookie in the 1st round. BUt it's hard to believe PR has been around 10 years. Where has my life gone??!

Every malcontent was shipped out long ago so of course all our choirboy Chargers would not quit on that paperbag coach. I guess my point is that it still sickens me to hear people trying to defend that azzclown.

The guy was a three time failure in my book and should be locked away for life. Canepa the greek says he can't believe Norv didn't know how to coach -- the guy "mustve" known how to coach after that miraculous first season.  And perhaps the consecutive letters n-o-r-v would not be so sickening if that idiot took just ONE ounce of accountability of his failures. Call Lance Armstrong a douche but he still rates higher in my book than #firenorvagain.

@sdjeff Well good thing it wasn't Arians. In my mind, the coach is 10 times more important than the GM. How many "GMs" have won titles? Who the hell knows, but we know of the Landrys, Nolls, Bellichicks. If Telesco had hired Arians, it would have left a real sour taste in my mouth. Anyway, that doesn't matter now.

I love how they say McCoy was hired to "fix" Rivers. As if Turner had broken him. lol

1 year, 11 months ago on Well, We're Waiting...

And I wanna point out what a douche "president" Deano is. He hires Telesco because the guy knows all the names (and strengths/weaknesses) of Chargers players. Well so does Jimmy Raye -- as well as every single Chargers fan I know of. Also he says that the Chargers have to build from within, from the draft. The team had gotten away from that. What the fuck is he talking about? AJ finally signed a couple FAs this past offseason but made the draft his absolute priority every year. You can say some of his picks sucked but Deano is just spitting out horse cum when he talks like that.

And I wanna say that Raye is getting fucked harder than Deanos mare. To say that he was 1) the overwhelming favorite and 2) he will one day be a GM in this league is a cop out because the dude is black. Telesco may be good -- who can really know -- but Raye has been loyal and deserved his shot. Can you imagine working at your company for 17 years and you're finally in line for the top job of your division. Then the company goes to your competitor and brings in their guy -- all because your ex-boss was canned and you might be too influenced by him.

Oh, but you can stay Jimmy. We'd love to have back. Jimmy Raye Unchained!

Lastly. If Arians gets brought in, I say FUCK YOU Telesco, Deano and Acee.

1 year, 11 months ago on Well, We're Waiting...

Reply

I know most people will grill me for saying this but I wanna say thanks to AJ. He made some crappy draft picks but so has every GM. He brought in some very high quality players and many decisions he got killed for are not clear cut. He did not re-sign Sproles a SECOND season because $8 mil is too much for a 3rd down back (the way Norv used him). He was actually criticized for franchising him the first time around. And then for not giving VJ a long-term contract. That's a tough call since VJ could have imploded again any minute.

AJ did give out some long term deals that were poor, Luis Castillo and Gaither come to mind but he had little choice with Gaither, and he wanted to build from within stick with guys he had brought in. I cant fault that.

To me, his only unforgivable sin (and his downfall) was hiring the retread Turner.  That just made no sense and every single one of us fans who grumbled about that hire from beginning to end have been proven to be correct. FUCK YOU Acee.

To AJ's credit, he took the blame (where Turner 100% refused to accept any --- my major fault with him). And AJ was fiercely and perhaps overbearingly a Charger employee. I appreciate that. He never badmouthed others in the organization and he took his firing like a man. He even stuck by that asshole Turners side till the end. Even though Turner through him under the bus. FUCK YOU Turner and Acee.

We need to find some humor in this morass of a team that Dean Spanos has put us in. The last time I was this sick at an owner was when Gene Klein sent JJ packing. If John Spanos ends up being named GM next year or the year after, that might be the camels back you hear breaking. And you can already hear Acee kissing JS' buttcheeks so it's probably a sure-thing. If the NBA can veto the CP3-Lakers trade, then sure as hell the NFL can override Deanos' decisions too.

@Lucab12 Youre right. AJ caught flack for giving Sproles the huge contract last year. Which I think he did because LT had just left and the position was still unsettled with Mathews as a rookie. So not giving him another huge contract this year seemed like a no-brainer.

What was this BS Acee was spouting about Jammer and Cason sucking this year because of Manusky? I swear that Acee is the Chargers de-fact PR guy. They need to draft more corners next year. Gilchrist is still iffy and Wright hasn't played. I'm glad that Gregory will be gone next year. And you know I'm not the hugest fan of Weddle.
