Seeing captain comeback make the sb in his 2nd fucking season as an nfl coach makes me queasy if just because it reminds me of something acee the asshole said. After one of his stupid articles, I told him that a new head coach could make a huge diference, case in point Harbaugh. Asshole responds that Harbaugh was an aberration and most teams couldn't get so lucky in hiring a new coach to immediately turn around the team.
I just want to comment one last time about this crap I continuously hear (in defense of #firenorv) about how his players never quit on him. Every malcontent was shipped out long ago so of course all our choirboy Chargers would not quit on that paperbag coach. I guess my point is that it still sickens me to hear people trying to defend that azzclown.
The guy was a three time failure in my book and should be locked away for life. Canepa the greek says he can't believe Norv didn't know how to coach -- the guy "mustve" known how to coach after that miraculous first season. And perhaps the consecutive letters n-o-r-v would not be so sickening if that idiot took just ONE ounce of accountability of his failures. Call Lance Armstrong a douche but he still rates higher in my book than #firenorvagain.
@sdjeff Well good thing it wasn't Arians. In my mind, the coach is 10 times more important than the GM. How many "GMs" have won titles? Who the hell knows, but we know of the Landrys, Nolls, Bellichicks. If Telesco had hired Arians, it would have left a real sour taste in my mouth. Anyway, that doesn't matter now.
I love how they say McCoy was hired to "fix" Rivers. As if Turner had broken him. lol
And I wanna point out what a douche "president" Deano is. He hires Telesco because the guy knows all the names (and strengths/weaknesses) of Chargers players. Well so does Jimmy Raye -- as well as every single Chargers fan I know of. Also he says that the Chargers have to build from within, from the draft. The team had gotten away from that. What the fuck is he talking about? AJ finally signed a couple FAs this past offseason but made the draft his absolute priority every year. You can say some of his picks sucked but Deano is just spitting out horse cum when he talks like that.
And I wanna say that Raye is getting fucked harder than Deanos mare. To say that he was 1) the overwhelming favorite and 2) he will one day be a GM in this league is a cop out because the dude is black. Telesco may be good -- who can really know -- but Raye has been loyal and deserved his shot. Can you imagine working at your company for 17 years and you're finally in line for the top job of your division. Then the company goes to your competitor and brings in their guy -- all because your ex-boss was canned and you might be too influenced by him.
Oh, but you can stay Jimmy. We'd love to have back. Jimmy Raye Unchained!
Lastly. If Arians gets brought in, I say FUCK YOU Telesco, Deano and Acee.
I know most people will grill me for saying this but I wanna say thanks to AJ. He made some crappy draft picks but so has every GM. He brought in some very high quality players and many decisions he got killed for are not clear cut. He did not re-sign Sproles a SECOND season because $8 mil is too much for a 3rd down back (the way Norv used him). He was actually criticized for franchising him the first time around. And then for not giving VJ a long-term contract. That's a tough call since VJ could have imploded again any minute.
AJ did give out some long term deals that were poor, Luis Castillo and Gaither come to mind but he had little choice with Gaither, and he wanted to build from within stick with guys he had brought in. I cant fault that.
To me, his only unforgivable sin (and his downfall) was hiring the retread Turner. That just made no sense and every single one of us fans who grumbled about that hire from beginning to end have been proven to be correct. FUCK YOU Acee.
To AJ's credit, he took the blame (where Turner 100% refused to accept any --- my major fault with him). And AJ was fiercely and perhaps overbearingly a Charger employee. I appreciate that. He never badmouthed others in the organization and he took his firing like a man. He even stuck by that asshole Turners side till the end. Even though Turner through him under the bus. FUCK YOU Turner and Acee.
@Lucab12 Canepa has turned into such a dinosaur -- afraid to call out anyone for coaching or playing like crap.
Rivers has sucked but it would seem like they'd gut their team by trying to find another qb. I blame his sucky play on: 1) trying to do too much himself because his offense is crap, 2) tuning out Norv completely, 3) a whorehouse offensive line.
And I have to say this: I'm a huge twitter fan and the messages from SDUT writers suck powder blue balls. There is a huge vacuum for responsible Chargers analysis. Your cue, Ross.

I actually think AJ had a good offseason and he may have saved Moron's job. What a twisted world we live in.
Everyone's looking for reasons why Junior took his life. We'll never know the answer but we shouldn't be looking to blame football or being out of the limelight, etc. Suicide is no joke. At one point or another, it's passed through all of our minds. Probably a lot more people than we know are straddling that line of no return.

Fisher hired Schottenheimer so I guess he would have been a poor choice as head coach here.
Did you read Canepa's article about Tuner getting help with game clock management? That's the stupidest thing I ever read. Steve Fairchild sucked as CSU's head coach. If Deano think he's the reason the Chargers suddenly are going to be successful, then this team is beyond all hope.
Lucab12 Canepa may be schizophrenic. He said in December that Norv should go because of a lack of accountability in the Detroit game throwing AJ under the bus for lack of playmakers on defense. Then he says it was the right move to bring that Norv.
I like Phillips as a DC. When in hell JJ gave him another head coaching gig is beyond me. We'll see what Pagano brings to the defense. Any guesses?
Ed Reed says that Flacco was rattled by the Texans this week. When the the last time the Chargers rattled a QB? And of course you are all aware that Bum Phillips 2.0 is running the d-show in Texas.

I know it's been said over and over. But almost as amazing as Deano's non-decision on Turner has been how much of a p*ssy Acee and Canepa have turned into. I guess Acee has been heading that way awhile but I had respect for Nicky two-chins for a long time. Now he's just counting down the days till he beaches himself on La Jolla Shores and retires.
So I was reading Jim Harbaugh's wikipedia page and it mentioned he interviewed for the jets job that buddy ryan 2.0 got. Wonder how the Jets are feeling about that hire now?
