@Danny Brown Haha, there are actually a lot of things I really like about this post.
@Danny Brown Haha, I think you may just have figured me out, Danny? I enjoy a little bit a meta humor now and again. : )
@Bucholtz I definitely agree. I see so many companies that try to hide from social (or simply ignore it) to disastrous effects. It takes a bit of har work, but wrapping an organization's workings around the trust and guidelines necessary is a much better long-term strategy.
@buildtracks Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the post. : )
@Lisa Gerber I agree totally with that statement.
@davepalmer Haha, no, the lowercase "i" still should be avoided when talking about the self, but you can save yourself the editing time now on the spacing issue. : )
@Engagedots CRM I think you mean acronym, but thanks!
@thejoshuawilner I couldn't agree with you more. Thanks for the great comment!
@Engagedots CRM Thanks!
@Soulati | B2B Social Media Marketing I'm glad you were inspired. You're right, if one person acts on something I write, I consider it a success. : )
@thejoshuawilner Amen.
@Carmelo @joey_strawn Definitely. If no one is getting nervous by what you're doing, you might want to take a harder look at what it is you actually ARE doing. : )
@Carmelo That's a very good question. You said it well in your comment that you aren't going out to burn their houses down, but letting them feel the heat and watch your control in putting it out will have one of a few effects: 1) The will be impressed by what you've done and the attention you've gathered, in which case the door will be more open for a relationship; 2) The will be scared of you and keep an eye on you more closely, and since you're not going to always be setting fires, they'll see you influence on regular things; or 3) They'll distance themselves from you because they are wimpy and scared, in which case you don't want them anyway.
I see no downside. : )
@Engagedots CRM I totally agree.
@Engagedots CRM Thanks!
@newraycom I agree. It's a very hard line to walk. I've seen social efforts fail miserably and yet I've seen one do really well, it all depends on the mindset and the approach. It's tough thing to write about and even tougher to implement, but it's important and I see too many companies ignore it altogether. Thanks for your comment!
@annhuuscameo That's great to hear!
