The numbers don't lie though. 54-55 originally offered scholarship players return next year.

How can this be. We have no more room for recruits? The Lemay boys must be making exit plans. That can only explain how the numbers will work. Too many big fish left to only have one lure left in the water, ugh.
Very intrigued by his speed and how it translates on the field. But I get that back to realization feeling when they timed Moultrie at something like 4.2 forty and him getting beat constantly. Would love to time these prospects with full pads on.

@007dawg=Bro.Chette "ble$$ing" recruits at the Barn
Agreed he got burnt badly but Cooper is clearly one of the best WRs if not the best in the SEC. Swann surely will be no. 1 depth chart at corner. There will be more teams looking to take advantage of our secondary next season for sure.

I don't know but he's visiting there Friday supposedly and they may accommodate him with an EE according to this.
I see Green more as a punt returner/kickoff returner/third down back and slot receiver. He looks too short and stocky to be a full time corner. I think Fluker may flip to Texas. We will need atleast 4 ready corners and Swann is the only one that is a starter going forward
Hate to be a hardass but it's time to move on. We need some more DBs. An overhaul of the secondary will take place and we need to figure out who will play the two safety spots and two more corner spots.
Looks very lean. Wonder where he fits best Free or Corner. He said they offered during the summer. I trust the coaches trust his ability.

Langley was a huge get no doubt but I would take Crowder above almost everyone else left on the wish list. That dude looks like he's physically getting ready for the NFL combine.
LG - Crowder
RG- anyone, doesn't matter

I don't expect too much trouble outta of southern. Given the defense is senior laden and playing against tech every year, the TO offense shouldn't be too foreign. They should win comfortably with GSU getting some solid yardage in there.
1 year, 11 months ago on Monday Recruiting Thread 12-Nov-12
The official/unofficial list should be crazy. Adams said he was coming through with his mom. RN I would think is there to see his bro.
A preliminary list of visitors would be greatly appreciated. HOPEFULLY the defense has turned the corner. Good to see Jordan has held down the starting OLB spot for the rest of the season...

I'm sorry but I don't like an NFL guy like Dan Quinn going against our very own Bobo in a game of strategy. Going to need the defense to wake up.
2 years ago on Socrates: How to Beat the Gators – Defense
We are getting really thin at DE. Abry and Jarvis are still out. Ray Drew is stuck in position limbo. S. Bailey is out with injury. Motel 6 is getting stood up... ONE ON ONE. We got both NTs in there and still getting gashed.
Drew is in Garners dog house but he has to play. There was some talk Grantham wasn't comfortable with RG when he was initially hired. I wouldn't mind an NFL guy coaching the DL in the future.
2 years ago on Well...That Was Ugly
I think Friend would absolutely deploy this alignment we have the depth. Bobo and Richt are too "traditional" and keep guys out of position trying to build "continuity".
Makes perfect sense for us with the solid depth we have and lack of top quality linemen.

Can't believe we allow this prick spurrier another year of glee.

I don't care about Uscar and the Vols. We need him close to 100 vs. the Turds. Sit him out vs. Kentucky if need be.
2 years ago on Jarvis Jones Playing Hurt?
Sorry but last rant, nothing positive will come of it anyways.....
Why did Richt give up his OC duties to Bobo in 2006. 2005 was our last SECCG and we whipped a good LSU team 34-14. Richt lost that edge he had when he gave the keys to an undeserving Bobo. Who gives up his job after a SEC championship, ugh!!!!

What was with leaving Gates alone with Clowney all night come from. Even more maddening was the fake chip blocks from the rbs.... We had some initial success running buck Bobo abruptly leaves the running game. 1st and goal inside the 5, 4 plays for 3 yards...
Murray is way too short to leave in the pocket like he's Brady. He has mobility and needs to use it to gain some yards with his legs and/or buy time for the offense. Grantham has lost his players during the offseason. He needs to pick things up. He's earned a whole bunch of credit points but man....
Not out of it totally but there are some problems with the defense, offense, and special teams. Mike Bobo will always be the subject of controversy as long as he's here.
Grantham has some work to do and he has some good players coming his way. currently committed. The move for CW is a disaster. Start G. Smith at end with CW at LB and the run defense is a thousand times better. We have the QB, RBs, Oline could be better (every teams says that), WRs. Just perplexed how bad the offense was.
I love Murray but he can't be a pure pocket passer. He's only 6 foot with short arms. It behooves him to use his feet if he wants to have a legit shot at the next level.

The Bowden Tree was in full display today. I can take a loss but not like this. Gruden would be one heck of a hire imo.
We all have the same athletes in the SEC, it's always been the coaching that sets everything apart. No greater example of that is Boise.
Bobo - his first half play calling had me confused to say the least but he made adjustments in the 2nd. If he can find rhythm sooner in games, he wouldn't get as much criticism from fans.
Grantham also made adjustments in the 2nd. He may be the best DC right up there with Saban/Kirby.
Murray gets too jacked up beginning of games. He needs to be under control all 4 quarters.
Seconday - Bowman was lost out there but he has skills and needs more seasoning. B. Smith has a habit of giving up big plays all throughout his career even in now, his senior year. MM and Swann are studs, ball hawking physical corners.. HELL YES
Offensive line - we need Houston back. He'll help get this line back to being a strong unit that can do some damage.

Ah yes, I enjoy the dawgs daily as is but can't wait to hear the rumblings about the incoming players and of course the progress of the o line.

"No offense but does that mean we should stop recruiting lineman from Florida because of Avery Young?"
Not at all, but you'll know when an OL prospect from Florida is really really serious about UGA ie Theus and Benedict (bad predicament).
But what I'm exactly saying is you scoop up all the top talent in our state first and leave open a spot or two for top tier Tackle/Guard prospects from Fl or wherever.
This is just my hard line stance on this particular manner.
2 years, 8 months ago on VID Sunday Recruiting Thread | March
Whoops, I have to correct myself. Max Jean Giles was a good one but he was a 2002 commit.
I put my trust in Friend. I believe he will get the job done regardless of who signs or commits. Hopefully he can scoop up Florida talent better than Searles.
Soc - I don't doubt Tunsil desire in UGA. But I can't remember the last OL prospect of substance from Florida.
30344 - I understand your plight being from South Fulton county myself I would like UGA to concentrate more effort there. But this year is a strong year for big linemen. Now last year would be a no brainer snatching up all the Tri-Cities kids.
With that said, south fulton doesn't produce D1 kids every year like Dekalb kids but when they do, it's usually top tier talent.
Still disappointing to this point with no more public commits. I think UGA has eyes on the Outlaw, Seymour, Kublanow, and the Tunsil kids. Tunsil seems like another Avery Young situation developing.
I agree on the stance with not offering the Tri Cities kids considering how strong the OL prospects is for the class. On the other hand, UGA can't afford to get caught up with another Chester Brown and Avery young fiasco.
CTG seems to close the deal on guys on his board and is living up to his reputation as a force in recruiting.

JHD, it's good to see Corey Moore on that list too. Can't wait to see this guy play. Here's a vid of him at some camp. Let's say he has some moxie.
2 years, 8 months ago on UGA Not Done Yet - (Recruiting Thread) | February
There was a question about his 40 time. According to the Atlanta MVP Camp, he is one of the fastest players timed there.
BK is the no brainer top priority OL recruit. He's basically a more talented and meaner Ben Jones for all intents and purposes. He could play any of the interior OL positions, a must get.
2 years, 8 months ago on 2013 Offensive Linemen - (Recruiting Thread) | February
Should everyone just assume K. Houston won't play. Something ain't normal with these Buford players.
I had some reservations about Henry's commitment until I realized he goes to school 15 minutes from Ramsey. Brice seems like a player people gravitate to like the Golden Child.
My other worry about Henry is his size. He can't stop mother nature and I don't see how he doesn't naturally grow to 6-3 250 by the time he enrolls onto someones campus. Would be an awesome MLB.

Losing Patterson hurts this much more because MM will have to play corner if he's ready or not.
I like Tony Ball and all but there's one guy that I can see coaching receivers very soon and he may just retire from Pittsburgh.

I know two off the bat in Ramsey and Matthews are eager to get into campus asap.

This was a good class. I just hope the coaching staff felt it was kind of empty and "make up for it" for next years class.
I'm hoping they ask 4-5 prospect to EE and sign upwards of 30 kids.
It's not practical to have two 340 pound tackles but it is what it is. They are at the mercy of someone with a lick of lateral quickness.
They should be much much more versatile with Theus, Beard, Debell, Houston??, Dantlzer, Ward, and Gates all bringing something different to the table.
