It's not an either/or
Reggie Jackson point guard, Russell Westbrook shooting guard. Brooks.... please...
That's an awful thing to say and no one will ever know
Game over
KD has been playing his ass off all series. Without him Houston wins the first round 4-2. I understand the frustration but you really can blame him for anything.
He's 4-10
He was thinking someone else could make a shot, which I agree is a dumb play.
I'm sorry but Brooks is a fucking moron. Ibaka Perkins and Fisher shouldn't even be on the floor when they are playing like this. They don't even care. Ibaka just shot a wide open 3 fading away out of bounds with 3 seconds on the clock.
This grizzlies team is better than any team LeBron beat in Cleveland...
Can KD take a day off in the suburbs of D.C. and find some mean streetballers on his old stomping grounds? I think Memphis would be in trouble.
"AT 5'9 STARTING POINT GAURD FOR THE THUNDER, ANTWON "MAD HANDLES" ROBINSON!"
@KatieLL @Stephen Jackson is not about this spelling @Jmb4119 imagine if you gave Tim Duncan or Kevin Garnett Serge Ibaka's body. GOAT without a doubt.
Right now Durant is playing over 40 minutes a game. He scores twice as many points as anyone else. He grabs more rebounds. He has more assists. He has just as many blocks and steals. He's defending the other teams best player, who is a borderline Grizzly bear, at 230 pounds. He takes the ball up when he needs to, he lets someone else when they need to, he tries to shoot when him shooting is the best option, and pass when someone else shooting is. I mean he's basically coaching the team. If 2 other players BESIDES 37 YEAR OLD DEREK FISHER could consistently shoot 50% from the field, hell 45%, grab a few rebounds, make a few passes and not turn the ball over the Thunder would win this series in 6 games.
@shiki @Stephen Jackson is not about this spelling @HookemKD @FF_pickups he will once Westbrook starts glaring at him in practice.
@snowflake We didn't play well on offense. We had a pretty damn good defensive performance however.
@FF_pickups KD and Russ could probably take the Bobcats to the Finals
Just realizing how absolutely retarded it is to have Durant guard Gasol with Kendrick Perkins on the team. I mean that guy is basically like lighting 9 million dollars on fire every year and it doesn't make the team better AT ALL. How is Durant supposed to guard the best offensive big man in the league and then score every point in the 4th quarter?
@T-Fred If we can win game 4 it's a best of 3 with Thunder home court advantage. If we lose game 4 the Thunder will need to win 3 straight with one on the road. Say game 4 is 50/50, and the Thunder winning from 2-2 is 50/50, and the Thunder winning from down 3-1 is 95/5. So right around 25%.
I don't get how it's possible for the Thunder minus KD to be this bad. I mean with Russ on the team Kevin Martin and Serge Ibaka are borderline all-stars and he only has 7 assists a game...
"Trending upwards" and "struggling to stay afloat" I guess mean they are both tied 1-1 in the conference semifinals. I understand what you're saying, but Durant has done plenty of storytelling with his body of work and transcendence to LeBron or beyond levels. He's already hit a dagger game winner and posted a 36/11/9 in a close loss to a hungry Grizzlies team (no pun intended). But alas, people do the same shit with LeBron. It's like if you reach a certain level everyone forgets how good you are and start looking at who's the next best.
I'm not an ESPN insider, but it sounds like David Thorpe thinks Steph Curry is the playoffs MVP right now? I get that he's "going off" or "wet on every shot" or whatever but Durant should be the unanimous MVP if we're making up awards. His point guard and top 5 player in the league has been out for the past 6 games and KD is averaging over 33 points a game on 49% shooting with over 9 rebounds, close to 6.5 assists and over 1 block/steal per game. That's including the 2 games with Westbrook. Curry is hitting 26.5 on 46% with 4 rebounds not quite 9 assists and 2 steals. I guess no one looks at stats anymore and writers just watch ESPN.
