@Norsktroll@AK1984What's interesting is that album, Neon Ballroom, charted higher in Europe, while their first album, Frogstomp, charted higher in America.

@Norsktroll@AK1984Yeah, they were certainly part of that mid-'90s alt rock craze.

Yet, even in the U.S., "Tomorrow" is probably one of the ten most famous post-grunge songs of that era. Bush's "Glycerine" would be my #1, though.

@Norsktroll @AK1984 STP is like right at the edge between grunge and post-grunge, but I've always felt that they were the very beginning of post-grunge. After STP, bands like Bush, Candlebox, and Silverchair came out of the woodwork.

A pretty weak list.

Taking a quick glance, Hole sucks, STP and Bush are post-grunge, and AiC isn't objectively be #1 ahead of Pearl Jam or Nirvana.

Not counting supergroups (e.g., Mad Season, Temple of the Dog, et cetera), here's my list:

  1. Pearl Jam
  2. Nirvana
  3. Alice in Chains
  4. Soundgarden
  5. Screaming Trees
  6. Mudhoney
  7. Green River
  8. Melvins
Depending on whether one wants the #1 ranking to be based on quality (i.e., Pearl Jam) or influence (i.e., Nirvana), it can go one of two ways. Those are the only two reasonable options for the top spot, though.

@Norsktroll @AK1984 This is a draft that'll be hit-and-miss throughout, even at the top. GMs will earn or lose their stripes this year.

@Norsktroll Man, I remember thinking that Hassan Adams could've been a perimeter defensive stopper when he was at Arizona.

@ian21@brandonmitchellThe drawback with the state lotteries is that the big payout is smaller. For example, the difference between winning the $600 million Powerball vs. $4 million Washington State Lottery is ginormous. For those who play the lottery, they want to go big or go home.

Bruce Irvin got suspended for use of Adderall, eh.

The NFL should legalize that shit and be done with it.

@TiMB @AK1984 @skywaker9 (David) Yeah, Curry is a one-of-a-kind shooter.

Any ideas on what could be Lillard's middle-of-the-road comparison?

@TiMB @AK1984 @skywaker9 (David) Can he ever be the defender that Chauncey was in Detroit?

Though, by that same token, I doubt he can be the efficient shooter that is Steph Curry.

@dj idoltime@AK1984Quite honestly, there's arguably nothing more despicable than prolonged torture of other human beings.

For Tsarnaev, Arias, Holmes, and Loughner, they all had warped mindsets; however, their rationales for doing what they did were at least comprehensible to some degree, regardless of how disgusting.

Tsarnaev acted out against Western culture due to his brother's anti-American influence on him, Arias felt disrespected and wronged by her on-again/off-again boyfriend, Holmes felt slighted by society, and Loughner was clearly a schizophrenic who'd lost his marbles.

Castro, on the other hand, has no excuse for his actions whatsoever. None at all.

If I was a lawyer, I could fairly and objectively represent the likes of and Dzhokar Tsarnaev, Jodi Arias, James Holmes, and Jared Lee Loughner. I'd fight to save Tsarnaev and Arias from the death penalty, as well as fight to prove that Holmes and Loughner did what they did due to being mentally ill.

I, however, couldn't do it for Ariel Castro. Nope, no fucking way. Rarely (if ever) do I say this, but I hope he gets slaughtered like a pig in prison. And in brutal fashion to boot.
