skywaker9 (David) is a Portland native and passionate Blazers fan. He is currently working on a PhD in Public Administration at Portland State. David is a former political activist who chose to focus on sports because they made him happy. He primarily writes previews for PWE and one of his primary goals is to inform Blazer fans everywhere about those players on other teams they may not have heard of but should (such as Serge Ibaka).

"Police took a 17-year-old West Albany High School student into custody for making a destructive device with the intent of detonating it at a school, police said.
Police said there were two explosive devices that could have caused serious damage and loss of life.
Just before 10:30 p.m. Thursday, police took the student into custody at his home on Northwest Violet Street in Albany, said Capt. Eric Carter with the Albany Police Department."

"After putting up career-best statistics last season, Kosta Koufos has decided to spend the summer working out with Nuggets coaches and strength staff, instead of playing for the Greek national team.
The center is an Ohio native, but due to his Greek roots, he’s previously played for that nation’s team. For Denver last season, the 24-year-old center averaged 8.0 points per game and 6.9 rebounds, starting for a squad that won 57 games.
He will spend the summer working on his game with numerous coaches, and his body with strength and conditioning coach Steve Hess. Koufos will spend time in Denver, as well as Cleveland and Canton, Ohio.

@Adams Apple of my Eye @skywaker9 (David) A judge CAN in some cases refuse to honor a jury's verdict of death in some states but I don't know when its ever happened, legally possible though.
@noBjustRyan @Adams Apple of my Eye I'm against the death penalty in all cases personally, if for no other reason than if you find out after you execute someone you got the wrong person you can't bring someone back to life.
@Adams Apple of my Eye @skywaker9 (David) No judge can issue a death sentence without a jury's' approval, Supreme Court said so in a case involving Arizona actually about 5 years ago.

@Section323 @jerod My grandparents house was broken into when I was visiting them way back in 1992, they left their really expensive camera equipment, took some crappy fake jewelry and didn't even take the Game Boy that I brought that was lying out in the open (at the time, it was probably worth at least $150)
