Tatar played great tonight, despite not getting on the score sheet. He was all over, he reminded me of Helm the way he was skating tonight.

I think Kronwall told Brunner to cut that shit out after the (3rd?) icing.

First and foremost - some of the members of the Facebook crowd are annoying.

I agree, we have too many defensemen. The problem is, they are all mediocre. We've got 9 defensemen who range from slightly above average to below average. We don't really have anyone who truly stands out as a top d-man.

@moorecha I feel strange asking this...has Ericsson been our best defenseman so far this year? At the very least I think he's been our most consistent d-man.

@ThroatShot Wow, I noticed Eaves out there quite a bit. Must have just overlooked the other 2.

Pavel Datsyuk is some form of god. This may have been his most impressive game that I've ever had the luxury of watching.

Why was he out there with Abby and Cleary? Not that either of them had bad games, but I was looking forward to seeing Tatar out there in the top-6. Our 3rd line (Andersson, Tatar, Eaves) were rarely, and I mean, RARELY on the ice. Or at least it seemed that way.

The 4th line played their hearts out. Tootoo especially. He's got some wheels, and I did not realize it until tonight.

Good game all-around. Unfortunate that we lost, but hey - we looked like the Detroit Red Wings that I know and love tonight.

I agree with most of the points for both sides. One thing, that I have no clue about so don't flame me for it, that I dislike is that our team will NOT be physical. We brought in Jordin Tootoo, one of the most physical, and hated guys in the NHL, I don't know if Babcock is telling him to play a different style, or what, but he seems much more tame since the beginning of the season.

I may be alone in this, but aside from last game, the Wings have been...dare I say - boring to watch. Lack of scoring, lack of physicality, lack of caring at all.

Random Abby hate seems a bit silly. He is a good 4th line center being thrown into the top-6. It's not his choice, that's Babcock.

On a different note, what is the deal with Tootoo? He hasn't been the agitating rat ball that he was supposed to be.

@Jordan_Reis  @Tnhgeno I've actually really liked Emmerton this year. And I used to despise him for his lack of doing anything, but this year he has shown he belongs in the NHL.

That being said, when this team is fully healthy, I believe it's Emmerton who has no spot on the team. Abby needs to be on the 4th line where he and Tootoo can wreak havoc together.

@Jordan_Reis Eaves is certainly not afraid to stand in front of shots. Abby would probably be the ideal choice though.

I think every player on the team has gotten better every single game. Except for maybe Kronwall, but whatever, that's fine. Two games in a row I actually liked Emmerton and his 4th line crew. Unfortunately for Emmer, I cannot wait to see our 4th line with Abby on it instead. I think it'll be one of, if not the best 4th line in the game.

Eaves was on the PP! I liked it. They always talk about how he has a great shot, and how we have no right-handed shots on this team. Must've forgotten about him.

Ericsson earns the defenseman of the night for me. Broke up a 3 on 1, joined the rush, and looked like he even considered hitting people. Once he decides to hit, he just might be worth his contract.

I thought Huskins played solid all around. Everyone was saying how he is simply a defensive d-man, but it seems to me like he's pinched in and joined the rush quite a few times.

Our defense is shaping up to be pretty solid after all. Even without signing any big-name guys.

I thought Smith played great. Probably the player of the game, in my opinion.

Kronwall seemed to have a pretty terrible game. Bad passes and mishandled pucks.

I also thought Fil had a bad game. He seems to be trying way too hard to make offense happen, but without shooting it himself.

Brunner is still everything I had hoped he would be.

Emmerton?!?!?! Probably the 2nd time in my lifetime I can say I actually liked what he did out there. The 4th line as a whole created more chances than our PowerPlay did all night.

No Helm kills us. He's getting an MRI on his back on Monday. Hopefully it's just the anger from a bad start to the season, but If he misses significant time, I can honestly say that I am deeply worried about our playoff chances.

Do we know if Filppula will be healthy for the beginning of the season?  If he is not, would that make any difference regarding Nyquist?

@TEKandthebaron  @thebiglachovsky Found https://twitter.com/NHLFanBoycott on twitter when searching for ways to boycott things.

Sort of makes sense seeing as how majority of fans will go back. But a 1 day boycott? and boycotting sponsors is another pretty solid idea.

@magnum9  @Jordan_Reis What I've gathered from reading this is 2 facts.

1. The workers could not make money if it was not for the owners.

2. The owners could not make money if it was not for the workers.

You are both correct. Problem resolved?

@Jay Argentina  @_Wolverine_ And the details surface! I didn't know numbers grew since changing to NBC. Well alright, I revert back to my original post about not slapping NBC in the face after all they have done for the NHL.

I agree, showing every playoff game was probably one of the best things about the NHL this past year.
