@Megan Peterson Oh, I'm such a video game fan most aspects of my brand came to me while playing video games. Ok, back to topic, yes, things get awesome when you leave your comfort zone. It's scary, and sometimes this makes us stop and go back into our nice comfort zone, but the reality is better than what our minds tell us. Out there, the experiences we can get will allow us to grow and know more about ourselves than we thought. :)

@tammyrenzi I think, for any creative profession (aren't they all creative?), sticking to a plan removes most of the beauty of the creative process. We need to allow happy accidents to happen and follow crazy ideas just because we can. I know this is one of the best ways I create awesome work. And that's when we are aming to thrill everyone and ourselves with our work :)

@Sandi Amorim In my humble opinion that time can be invested in having tea and cookies after a good all day of taking action towards the goal. :)

@cjrenzi Glad to see you put so much effort in your own craft. That's a good sign, and I bet I don't need to warn you about the perfectionism monster, as I think you understand shipping is part of everything. Keep up the great work :)

@Sandi Amorim I think "ready, fire, aim" works far better. We doon't have to go all sniper on our projects and calculate, the wind, bullet's weight, trajectory, and how much the earth can pull the bullet down and miss the target. I think the detail is that we forget we are not bullets, and we can move mid-flight if needed. Adjust and hit our target just the way we want, besides making small tweaks after getting real feedback is far easier than planning a perfect bullet time moment. :)

@otitiovuewhorie Thank you my dear Otiti! I'm glad I'm helping you to reach your dreams. You have everything you need within yourself. You stormed all of us when you made your appearance in the blog world! Believe me you have a powerful warrior spirit! Aim high and shoot to thrill yourself and the world will be thrilled about your work and message. :)

@Ellen Berg Believe me I would love to claim the phrase, but it's all AC/DC on that one. I'm a metal-head after all. :) It may be amazing, but some of the students never got the idea and are still struggling. it's a bit sad, but I guess I was not the right teacher for them and hopefully they will find the right one soon.

@floridancing I must say just writing a novel is a huge accomplishment. And believe me you'll thrill your readers, it's all in your own voice and heart. That's what caught your first readers, your very own voice shooting for the stars! Let me know how it goes, we can help you get more eyes into your work. :)

Oh, that's why you are my sensei!

I have never tried a full on silent retreat (I think I should, sounds truly interesting). On the other hand there is this practice I do from time to time which I call Face the Wall (yes a reference to Emilie Autumn's song and the old zen monks in Japan).

It's just sitting in front of a plain wall with nothing there for as long as I can do it (usually I practice this during important dates for me, like my birthday), and I have found that it's a great way to gain some insight about what happens around me, but above all, what happens inside me.

Now that I think about it, I should write a full on article about this. :)

Oh and I'm super happy and grateful as you can see. :)

I will be honest, I think without focusing on the positive outcome I wouldn't be able to do all the things I do everyday. because believe me yelling at your computer screen because something is not right will never ever fix it (and I tried many many times). :)

@Ellen Berg I think when things don't go according to plan is when we grow the most, even if we don't like the process, but only a bit of time and a lot of breathing allow us to see beyond the pain and uncool parts. Oh and I can't wait to contribute to this lovely place, it's one of my favorite virtual headquarters. :)

As I'm editing my guest post, I think I must link to this one, It's insanely powerful and truthful. I think facing a fear is never easy, but it's one of the most rewarding experiences we can live. I still remember the day I left my job, it was scary and I was all over the place, the only way I could overcome fear is to just keep moving forward, it wasn't easy, but now I feel good I did. :)
