@see-mittens Tyreke wasn't on the Memphis team that was the runner up (that was Derrick Rose).
there are also very few players in nba history who have ever played 48 minutes a night
I really don't think we can trade Jlamb. He's the future of our shooting guard position. Martin is 30, and we have no idea if he's going to be with the team next season. I think Jones is a lot more expendable.
I actually like Varejao much more for our team than Gortat. Only problem is Cavs are very high on him, but I do that some picks might sway them our way. He's just too old for them.
Irving is out for a month. Cavs are already 2-8 and are headed for a tailspin. Varejao is 30. He clearly doesn't fit their long term plans (rest of their core is in their young 20s). What would it take to pry him away?
Just saw Gortat wants out of Phoenix. I don't think too many teams can top what we can offer. Some combination of Perkins, Lamb/Jones, picks would surely get him.
I'd do Perkins/Jones/Tor #1 for Gortat in a flash.
Jeff Van Gundy is a man of many talents.
Really disappointed in Darnell for that article.
So we beat the Lakers in 5 games last year (and the Mav in 4). But how many of those games came down to the final minute? Yes, we were better than them but let's not think that these series were 2001 Laker blowout-style series wins. The Lakers are much better than they were last year, and they actually have a bench now. Jordan Hill, Jamison, Earl Clark, Devin Ebanks, possibly Barbosa? I just hope Olympics Kobe shows up next NBA season...
Supposedly the NBA is coming out with a new set of "winter" jerseys for select games this season. They're monochromatic (similar to the Heat's all black jerseys).

Not a fan of OKC's.

Nazr Mohammed is close to signing with the Brooklyn Nets, according to source. He'll likely sign for the veteran's minimum in next 24 hours.
2 of Lebron, Dirk, KD, Garnett, Stoudemire/Duncan (depending on how they were listed) have always been better than him.
Leon's on Brookside is a pretty good place to watch. Watched game 7 of the finals there back in 2010, it was great.
Assuming SVG is fired from Orlando at the end of this season (which is a distinct possibility: http://www.cbssports.com/nba/blog/eye-on-basketball/18294135/report-dwight-howard-wants-stan-van-gundy-fired), how would you all feel about bringing him here as an assistant or head coach if Brooks isn't offered an extension?
