Half International Man of Mystery Half Amazing

Anyone watch Gotham yet? I'm taking a cautious approach as my tv schedule has really filled up recently watching crappy shows mostly late at night. I currently have 5-10 shows I actively care about and don't really have room for any more

Does the Mexican wave go around clockwise in the northern hemisphere ? And anti clockwise in the southern ?

I like him and think he's very underrated. Like the Ty Lawson of Pf's. Which is ironic since he went to unc as well. He can definitely be your 3rd best guy.
If I were Milwaukee I would probably try to trade Henson to sacremento for McClemmore. It would help both teams, although it might piss off oj mayo
7 hours, 8 minutes ago on 10 questions for training camp
On this team probably, however with a good rebounding SF it would be fine

I agree that Perry's basketball skills are more perimeter orientated, however I don't think that makes him a bad PF, just a skinny perimeter PF as opposed to a strong post PF. Both have value
7 hours, 14 minutes ago on 10 questions for training camp
Henderson is a 6'5 Sg that plays for the hornets. Henson is a 6'11 PF that plays for the bucks
7 hours, 16 minutes ago on 10 questions for training camp
I think that drafting high is overrated since you can only afford to pay 3 guys anyway. I think that with Parker, Greek freak and Henson they have 3 legit guys and I still really like mayo, Marshall and sanders
7 hours, 22 minutes ago on 10 questions for training camp
He was good offensively at Sg but that mostly involved standing in the corner and hitting 3's while reggie/KD created skills that aren't exactly Sg specific
Meanwhile he was horrible defensively vs sg's which is ultimately why robes started in front of him
7 hours, 29 minutes ago on 10 questions for training camp
Jason Kidd has full control now and he's a fan of sanders
Side note Milwaukee could be really good (6 seed in the east) if everything works out for them
Pg marshal SG Mayo SF Parker PF Giannis C sanders or maybe have Parker on the bench for Henson
7 hours, 32 minutes ago on 10 questions for training camp
My issue is that serge closes down the paint just by breathing and perk without serge wasn't a great or even a very good rim protector. So essentially our defensive scheme is designed to maximize perks value rather then cover the weakness' of all players on the floor
7 hours, 40 minutes ago on 10 questions for training camp
Sorry I should have explained that. 2-3-4 and 2-3-5 are the positions that teams have their best defensive players eg last year the pacers and spurs both ran a 2-3-5 where the job of the 2 elite defensive wings was to funnel the opposition into the elite shot locking center (hibbert/Duncan)
Miami ran a 2-3-4 where the goal of the wings is to fly around and keep the ball out of the paint and a shotblocking PF guards the best big and bails them out when it doesn't work. Eg 96 bulls
8 hours, 31 minutes ago on 10 questions for training camp
What's most frustrating about this Perk/robes arguement is that in the past few years nba offences have improved and now there are only 2 viable defensive schemes the 2-3-4 and the 2-3-5) to be an elite team just like in football there is the 34 and 43 schemes. Yet okc is trying to archaically run a 2-4-5 scheme that the new spread offense (corner 3's) has been directly designed to take advantage of
8 hours, 42 minutes ago on 10 questions for training camp
Golden state would be this teams biggest issue. We'd actually match up ok against Cleveland and San Antonio in the guards (except no one can guard love/Diaw)
8 hours, 48 minutes ago on 10 questions for training camp
I'm not sure why but i read your comment in the voice of moredin from mass effect
8 hours, 50 minutes ago on 10 questions for training camp
David west is the NBA's mr UFC. He could match up with every physical big man and still be able to guard Boris Diaw and play offense
8 hours, 55 minutes ago on 10 questions for training camp
I think the main issue is that KD can't guard SG's/Swingmen and so having a good defensive wing is imperative to cover that weakness.
I'd personally start Russ, reggie, KD, perry and serge and switch to a zone system where KD + reggie were responsible for one side of the floor, Russ and perry the other with the goal be to funnel opposition wings into serge and stop corner 3's
Then I'd split the bench into 2 seperate 5 man units
1. Reggie morrow Perry KD and serge ( well balanced offensively and defensively)
2. Russ lamb robes nick and Steve ( well balanced both ways)
Then the closing lineup would be matchup based
Russ, KD and serge being the only gaurenteed closers
8 hours, 57 minutes ago on 10 questions for training camp
Pacers+ reggie would have an outside shot at playoffs depending on how you feel about the hawks and bucks
9 hours, 4 minutes ago on 10 questions for training camp
Ugh. Perk has been playing the 4 for the last 3 years. Adams and ibaka are both good enough to cover all 48 center minutes
Royces whole arguement to perks basketball value was vs zbo( a PF). We'd be fine at center without perk. Even KD and perry can play limited minutes there. Along with serge, Adams nick and Mitch that's 6 guys.
9 hours, 8 minutes ago on 10 questions for training camp
I'd take 2 years of David west and a pick as something significant especially as the pacers will be the 2nd worst team in the east this year without reggie
9 hours, 9 minutes ago on 10 questions for training camp
I'd rather see an Adams collision pair and a Serge McGary pair though
9 hours, 11 minutes ago on 10 questions for training camp
It doesn't make much long term sense but purely from a shortsighted perspective I'd love to trade perk + reggie for David west and a pick/filler
9 hours, 14 minutes ago on 10 questions for training camp
Any week your starting QB and TE (both first and 2nd round picks) combine for less points then reggie bush ( note they might have slightly more but it's close) you probably won't win your fantasy matchup

Just saw an add for the maze runner. That movie is seriously going to test wether I'm more mature then I was 3 years ago. It's going to be a terrible movie but I used to have a massive crush on the female lead, and the male lead has been pretty great in other things too so....

With Minnesota now targeting Eric Bledsoe, assuming they get him for a reasonable price how good could a Bledsoe/wiggins/deng twolves team be?

Have my fantasy football lineups set for this week, including favourable RB matchups and a new no1 reciever. So time to step away from the internet and start moving house.
Though since I'm against sniper army this week maybe I should avoid open windows.

We drafted Bledsoe with pick 18 of the cole Aldrich draft which presti got from Miami for taking on d cooks salary. He was then trade to the clippers for a future first, which was traded to Boston as part of the green for perk trade. Boston selected fab melo with the clippers pick I believe
Considering okc drafted Bledsoe trading for him would be unlikely as it would make presti look dumb for trading him the first time
Kyrie above wall in si's ranking is going to be embarrassing when Washington blow Cleveland off the floor

Listening to this new U2 music is like watching Washington MJ. Might be time to stop writing new stuff. Until people they hit the Rolling Stones at 70 level of Mortal Band
All great change requires sacrifice. If a public figure does the wrong thing, even unintentionally to the point where it instigates major social change. That action will have a consequence and there will be a price to be paid.
Many great Men and women throught history have been unfairly vilified for the greater good.
And anyone who hits a kid probably isn't being treated that unfairly

I think that regardless of someone's upbringing as an adult you are responsible for your actions, and if you are going to be responsible for a minor, then you should learn how to parent appropriately.
As someone who had "poor" parents. I understand how as a person there are some actions you may consider normal and acceptable until you learn otherwise, and education is often all that's required to fix the situation with people who know better , however some actions are unacceptable regardless of perspective/ignorance and there is no excuse for beating a child ever

I don't think it would make much difference, if teachers got paid more money they would be teaching at exclusive university's/private schools that regular people wouldn't be able to afford quality teaching. And the best teachers would be babysitters for brats as opposed to actually helping where they are needed
I'm moving again. So not psyched. I should probably not put off getting storage any longer though as I still have to clean this apartment as well
On the nba shared birthday thread I have Derrick rose so that's pretty sweet.
Unfortunately that makes me have the 2nd best basketball birthday and 3rd best athlete birthday in my family.

Caught up on thatsthunderbasketball's central preview. It was mostly well written. Your getting really good man. However I'd rank the teams 3. Bucks, 4. Pistons. 5 pacers.
If OJ Mayo and larry sanders come back in form that is a really dangerous team and could quite easily make the playoffs*
Excuse me as I try to come up with perk to the bucks trades to steal some of their talent.

This Adrian Peterson stuff is only going to get more intense as people in the media start to link it to the death of one of his other children in 2013 due to domestic violence.(committed by another man). Sadly this is just the beginning of horrible situations coming to light. But if society uses this as a learning experience then hopefully it all works out for the best

Apparently avatar 2 is shooting in 4k at 120 fps. And they thought avatar 1's special effects budget was huge
Robes. Definitely not morrow
I'm open to trading cam Newton and another piece for Calvin johnson
McGary and Adams are definitely getting those double doubles. This team will play lots of garbage time if everyone is healthy
NFL lineman run less then 500m a game and the guys who go the furthest don't go very far compared to basketball
The sleeper eastern conference MVP candidate is john wall. Washington should have a great year this year.
It would have worked if Phoenix had their shit together with Bledsoe, but until he signs a deal there is no market for reggie. The lakers basically offered Phoenix the deal I suggested they would offer for reggie. So I wasn't that far off. Also I didn't know that Philly was going to go into supertank mode
Because reggie is gaurenteed to get traded and okc wanted to lock in their backup pg
Yeah with my lineups I like pairs and groups more the 5 man units
I think KD perry and serge at 3-4-5 will be good
Same as reggie + morrow and Russ + lamb and as always Adams +nick
Since we are talking basketball my ideal thunder lineups are probably
Starters Russ reggie KD perry* and serge
Bench 1 reggie morrow perry KD and serge
Bench 2 Russ lamb robes nick and steve
* start perk v teams that play heavy like memphis
Well if I had to pick start perry at the 3 then have lamb or morrow at the 2 with robes as the reserve SF
Both and no perk
