A woman I used to work with once told me, "If you lose your temper, you lose the argument." A revelation to me, because before that, I thought that the emotional, impassioned plea was irrefutably effective. Turns out, not so much. At best, I suppose it let's you blow off steam. Aside from that, it's quite useless. The older I get, the quieter I have become, and overall, I'm happier.
Excellent! Only one question, is it pronounced 'tee-o-weh' or 'tie-o-weh' (or something else entirely)? 8-)
Dear Ms. Clayman: I know this will sound weird, but I am just so proud of you I am close to tears.
Well. Done.
I like to think that, for the most part, the cream will rise to the top, and that what goes around, comes around. Simplistic, but I actually think that, over time, it works. Given enough rope...they will shoot themselves in the foot.
Hi dear. You have a big heart and want so much for the people you care about. It's a wonderful quality, and I hope you retain this altruism and optimism. It's hard when confronted with the failings of human nature - sometimes the bad guys win. I think backing away is a good move. I wonder if we were ever meant to have quite so much information at our fingertips.
Hugs and I hope you don't mind my linking (or not linking...) to this since it came to mind..
