Temperature measured at -30 here in Central Kentucky.  There's a reason they play basketball here.

Jason, based on the ticker Bloomgren is the frontrunner for the offensive coordinator position. Does Carvell update that thing? :)

He's definitely a gamer. Wonderful touch on the back shoulder throw. Great feel for what the defender is going to do.

The Red&Black article is TRASH!!!  "I've watched enough football to know he's not a good NFL Coordinator." Apparently with all that watched football you still don't understand the game.

@WalktheDawg Whisky  @dawgofdasouth I respectfully disagree with the in-game adjustments.  Two years ago at UT, I believe that the gameplan was to pound Tennessee with the run game, and we had to autocorrect to throw the ball.  This year against Clemson, we changed blocking schemes so that we could pound the ball.  Both of those are examples of in-game adjustments that the OC has his hands on.  If we are going to lay all of the blame on the OC, don't we deserve to give the glory there too?

@Socrates B. Kronas  @trumely Should have indicated that I knew the Co-oc's wasn't going to happen and that schottenheimer wasn't coming to UGA.  Just thought that the earlier bits about Bloomgren were excellent points.

From Dawgsports.com's (20)15 Thoughts...Year End Edition comments:

There seems to be a lot of smoke around Mike Bloomgren at Stanford.

He is a good recruiter. He is from Tallahassee and could recruit South Georgia/North Florida well (that area has mainly been Bobo’s, and Bloomgren and Bobo grew up in town less than an hour apart). He spent 3 years at FSU with Richt and Lilly (1997-1999). He is an excellent offensive line coach, an excellent recruiter, and has been calling plays for Stanford the past 2 years. He likes running the ball. He like good backs. He likes the play-action pass. He like tight ends. He’s a great fit and I think he may be the guy.

Interestingly, our 2 5-star 2016 commits (Eason and Cleveland) and 2 of our assistant coaches (Sherrer and Lilly) recently started following him on Twitter. Could be a very modern sign of things to come.

Also worth noting that we had Brian Schottenheimer in Athens last week. I’m not sure if they are asking him about a possible Co-OC position with his former co-worker (Bloomgren was assistant offensive coordinator to Schottenheimer with the Jets and they worked together for 4 or 5 years, I believe.) People may remember that Jon Fabris was in Athens a few days before Ekeler was hired as Richt was vetting Ekeler before hiring him. Schottenheimer is rumoured to have applied for the job and he may have been interviewing. But we also could have been talking to him about Bloomgren. Or he could have been doing both.

I think this is the guy to watch right now.

Something I just noticed this morning.  Lorenzo Carter sacked the Louisville QB on the last play of the Belk Bowl.  HOW FITTING IS THAT?  A guy who would not have ended up at Georgia if Grantham had still been the defensive coordinator ends the game with a sack against Grantham's new team.

Okay, so any chance the Stanford guy is looking at Michigan?  Would be one reason that J. Eason would be following him.

To continue the discussion of Chigbu - He reminds me of a mixture of Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitz.  He has great hands, shields well with his body, and drops his hips nicely when making his cuts.  Great feel for the holes in the defense on the curl routes.

Best part of this season is seeing the growth in players as the season goes along.  Pruitt uses the guys that are learning and are going to be successful.  My biggest gripe was the coaching up of the talent that we've gotten and it seems that we finally have gotten a defensive staff that can make great talent into great football players.

Abram is a smaller Alec Ogletree in my opinion.  He has a nose for the ball in run support and brings the wood when it's time to tackle.  He has a knack for squaring up the ball carrier which is necessary in the SEC.
